  • Really enjoyable games against Thumbs Up tonight, thanks for reffing Sandy/Ed and thanks for a great last fixture Thumbs Up!

  • Thanks Spring Break, it was fun. Thanks Sandy & Ed.

  • Small write up on the spring break and thumbs up games, because I know some folks(Kev, Beagle) like these things.

The first game was a very close affair, spring break seemed a little confused with the double lefty. The second goal came at about the 8:30 mark and it left TU too little time to equalise.

In the second game both teams looked more at ease and SB seemed to have sussed out how to play the double lefty, close for the first 3-4 mins and then SB dominated.

The third game went about 4-5 mins without a score and it looked like TU were in with a good chance of a draw or maybe even a crafty win, their defence for this period was solid. But the SB defence was also solid and the chances for TU were rare throughout the game. Once the scoring opened up at the half way mark it was difficult for TU to get back in it, everytime they push forwards and attacked SB seemed to close it down and either shoot or shoot and score. The end result 5-1 seemed maybe a little unrepresentative of the efforts put in by TU but SB had 2-3 great shots towards the end of the game which I think even the best teams would have struggled to stop.

Nice clean games by all and a pleasure to ref, beers make it all the more so.

  • Ah I shoulda come down to watch.

  • Thanks Sandy!

  • And spring break go top of the table.

    All to play for.

  • Was gutted to not get down before the game was over, sounds like it would have been great to watch.

  • The battle for 5th is on. Next instalment, Saturday 10am Downs, Kings vs Passed It.

  • I thought you wanted to play Mitch? Suits me either way.
