Blimey! The email order confirmation has come back from Billy's for a Halo Aerotrack in black and delivery date is start of Jan 2012?!! There must be something similar/the same available more easily?

You in London or Holland?

DP18 are 30mm.
They are cheap (£25 per pair if you don't mind blue)
They are heavy.
They don't break.
-
• #10
@hugo7 - London fella
@Stonehedge - must be black no braking surface and not heavy
-
• #11
Basically these in a clincher...
These man, they are dope. And I may have a spare, just depends if I can bear to split them up..
-
• #12
I've got an unmachined black DP18. It weighs in at 590g if I remember correctly.
-
• #13
^ and the annoying this is that I need a machined one!

Ask Tredz or activesport whether they have it in stock
http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Halo-Aerotrack-Rim_37080.htmhttp://activesport.co.uk/shop/article_1112-004/Halo-Aerotrack-27mm,-Aero-27mm-deep-Rim.html
SJSC are saying 'due tomorrow', although that seems unlikely if Billy's doesn't have them, as Billy's is the shop front for Ison Distribution

"Suggest a rim please" - somebody else must be thinking what I'm thinking..?

Aye, that would be me.

Get BLB to order some velocity A23s or aeroheads. They can come in black with a nmsw and pretty much any drilling. Plus they're lowish profile, but with an aero profile.
Tbh they Might have what u want in stock.

Brick Lane Bikes?! Cough spit! Sorry but I've been there a couple of times and found the attitude obnoxious, maybe they've changed - I hope so for their sake and that of their customers'. I did eventually find this on the bay, which seemed like a top deal:

That's going to be £60 by the time Customs & Porcel Farce have had their respective slices.
-

^ I'm already on the case, no UK based sellers I could find and can't wait until January 2219 or whatever it was for Billy's.

what about the weinman pegasus? deeper than a dp18 but a bit lighter IIRC
-
• #22
The Pegasus is 42mm deep and weighs 750 grams.
The Campag rims are very nicely finished (kinda satin black), light and surprisingly stiff.
-
• #23
750g? I've got a pair of 50mm Alex R700 that weigh 700g.
I've never riden Pegasus before. They must be pretty sturdy!

Where did you get them? I quite like the idea of using a pair of those to replace my Ellipse rims, but I've never found a retailer.

Varno laced a few up for Roger Hammond for some bike or other a while back and had a pair spare...not sure he has any left though. I've been looking for a retailer as I want to build a pair up for track use. Maybe a quick PM to Varno might help? Could well be his normal wholesaler that can get them...
I'm really pleased with them although I haven't really done enough miles on them to comment on durability yet.
OK, am after a rim 700c 32 hole, in black, no braking surface required (rear on fixed) clincher, semi deep-V (not standard, not stupidly deep, somewhere in the middle). Nice and lightweight ideally.
Have been looking online and on eBay but can't find anything that fits the bill.
Any ideas?
