Chicken in Ramen = Wagamama Faaaaaail!
It's all about the cheap nasty pork
Never liked Wagamama. Uninteresting food. Fujiyama in Brixton is much better than that. They do this broccoli in a teriyaki glaze that's just inspired.

There will be no wagamama on my watch, believe!

My mate says Ichiban in Brixton is smaller, better & cheaper than fujiyama. I've not been to either, so I can't say.

Ichiban, is very good, really nice sushi there as well..

Aahhh. The old ichiban Vs fujiyama debate. I've been to both and would agree ichiban is better for sushi, but Fujiyama is better for everything else. Tbh if all 18 people turn up, Ichiban won't be able to seat us all!

I really want in on this, but will be in Leiden, not eating Ramen.
enjoy.

Fujiyama trumps Ichiban hands down, although Ichiban is actually Japanese-Latin owned while Fujiyama is Chinese.

I'm assuming one of those is meant to be ichiban...
All good ramen/sushi places are to be enjoyed, never judged, unless you rate them all equally highly...
Fujiyama's been doing it for so long, you sometimes forget it's there.

There's also the rather newer Ichiban debate about the detestable way they treat their staff: no paid holiday, no maternity leave, staff sacked for any illness at all. Some former staff have been stuck in tribunals with them for years, now. There was even a protest by present and former staff back in May.
Although that reminds me: Fujiyama don't pass on the tips to their staff, if you add it to the card payment. Leave cash tips on the table after the bill has been paid.

That has unfortunately become common practice, I keep cash on me to leave a tip. Even if there is a service charge on the bill, but then the service would have to be better than average.
