  • I was recovering whole sunday.

That ride was f*&^ng A. Sweet!

    Vegetable Tempura Udon FTW!

  • How was the last place?

... sake was good. Maybe that's the reason I was recovering whole Sunday.

  • The udon at the last place was turn best of them all! Might have been all the beer I drunk though.

  • ^agree. on both.

  • Burrito

    That is all...

  • 1.Lolabelle

  • Wow, Lola is keen, she must think it's a noodle sex list. No young lady, I said Burrito.

Hmmm...I have heard that burrito sex is not bad either...IN.

  • Fun times. Sorry to bail after Camden but I thought it wiser to get shitfaced closer to home.
Good organisation skills poots and tibbs.

  • Thanks for the Pokky Kattiep!

I'd like to point out that the organisation was all down to Poots, I was merely a creative consultant.

Thanks Poots you made a lot of people happy this weekend. Not a lot of people can do that.

  • Now I have had time to properly digest the ride and lay the noodle baby to rest it's about time I added my thanks to the organisers and riders who made it a very special day.

A spicy Ramen to start, selection of Gyoza and Tempura second, then some Sushi, and an Udon to finish. A lot for me, tho a mere snack for some of you monsters.

Highlights: So many but mostly the banter. I particularly liked the charge down High St Ken. And the race up Swains was epic. Trying to inhale that can of beer at the half way point when all my lungs wanted was air, then getting sushi and beer burps the rest of the way, was not exactly pleasant at the time but so funny in retrospect. Also the noise of Kuba cursing, swearing and growling at the hill as he dominated the steep section will stay with me for a long while. Talking of shouting, Tibbs' blood-curdling cries of UDON! all the way down the Holloway Road probably left a few locals still traumatised. And yeah, the Udon at the last place was so good it must have been wrong.

Lowlight was a blinding headache that kicked in at the third restaurant, I'm blaming it on high beer, salt and poss MSG intake without adequate non-beer fluid intake. Fortunately a couple of paracetamol and a chill out in The Flask put me back on the rails.

    Cheers Poots, cheers Tibbs.

    Bring on the Burrito Roll!

Hahahaha I've almost forgotten about this one! Epic! UUUUUUDOOOOOONNNNN!

  • Yeah...went a bit mental didn't I...

  • Do you like ramen too?!?!...

  • They said Ramen was a thing of the past!

  • what the fuck
my dyslexic brain said this was in december..

shit.. was looking forward to this and now i realised i missed it, i didnt do shit on sat either.

  • Live by the ramen, die by the ramen - or something to that effect. I have a few photos, and a few words from Saturday that I've put on this here blog if anyone wants to have a geez http://lensefare.blogspot.com/.

  • ..breaking the old stereotype of Londoners being a cold & unfriendly breed.

Which ride did you go on? Ben tried to kill me!

  • Which ride did you go on? Ben tried to kill me!

Really? When was that? I'm sure he tried to kill you in a jovial manner, all fun and deadly games.

  • We decided to have a trackstand sumo wrestle at the lights after Kyoto gardens. It was all fun and games. I think the pancake shot he bought me afterwards did me more harm.

    Best ride ever for me!

  • Ha! I'd forgotten about that. Was at the lights at Westbourne Grove, you went down hard, he looked a little sheepish about that. Then the pancake shots at the flask! That boy's a wrongun!

  • I'm sorry, pancake shot??

  • OK, I have been tapped to organize a Burrito Roll. I'm on it, and welcome all suggestions of places to try. I have heard about one but obviously forgotten.

I loved the half of this ride I went on, and am looking forward to getting this next one "rolling"!

One thing I wanted to mention was that I noticed a fair bit of rude riding on the Udon Roll, from riding two abreast (or just in primary position) when completely unnecessary to someone pulling a really crap undertaking move when turning right to enter Holland Park.
