• James is a massive hipster

  • 84" is gear of choice, jolly good.

  • 50 miles. good grief.

  • hmmm

  • Lose the disc and you'll be alright. I'm thinking of doing it on the TT bike. There are some slightly more serious fixie skiddrs, but they're still skiddrs.

PJ on the first HC http://hacksawschallengedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/11267_200859994007_732224007_4002378_5784617_n.jpg?w=604

No longer true... check who's signed up recently?

  • 25 miles.

    ftfy

  • no will, 25 miles total
    /embed out and back

    hmmm

2-up rolla fun times? as long as you don't burn me out of the gate...

  • ooh that tav bloke is faster than grupetto's gutchings bloke. exciting. I embrace defeat with open arms.

  • I'm strangely tempted. Might road-ready my Condor for the job.

Think it's the bristol thing, I used to live there and have fond memories.

I'm being a bit internet lame, how do you look at the start list and sign on?

  • free t-shirts too.

  • ^^

    :P
miro_o, could you stick my name down? don't think I can handle creating an account on me mobile device.

  • I've put our names down...

  • Looks like your sorted.

Exciting... I guess I should pump my tyres up and take my mudguards off this year.

  • you don't have to.
will book train ticket tomorrow. yay.

  • You're right. I'll leave the guards on so not to splash as I ride past you etc, etc*

    *let the shit talking commence

    :P

  • ooh I can play this!

the next thing you hear from me will be the wom wom wom of the trispoke as I pass you by

    and so to bed :)

  • its 30-40 miles to warminster from bristol

    quite tempted

  • I believe ex-Londons famous Londoner pj(pj) is the man to beat.
I think he did it on an old school lo pro TT set up with a disc in 2009...

  • It was a bit of a bunch/line out on the way out to Bath but on the way back it was quite spread out. A few groups of twos and threes. It'll be like doing a team time trial. The finish is a decent straight and if you get it right there shouldn't be a need to sprint

  • I was just about to advertise the race on this forum, so cheers for getting the word out.

The race is 25 miles in total.
Start in Bristol, race to the bath check point and then race back to where you started.
I have posted the start and the check point on www.hacksawschallenge.com.

START/FINISH: canons way bristol(by cafe gusto)

    CHECK POINT:queen square bath

I will update the website tonight when i get home with meeting points and start time.
Also there is already talks in bristol of TT setups, Disc's and skinsuits so more the merrier.

Keep checking www.hacksawschallenge.com and www.trackdropouts.com for updates.

    Cheers

  • just booked me trains. as generous as offers of overnight accomodation were, I went for the fuss-free, surgical strike, hit it in an evening approach. will be arriving in bristol at half 3 and buggering off at half 10. probably cuts the after side of things a little fine but it's the last train home innit.

  • Hmm...I could be tempted for this, to battle for a dfl. Have got lots of mates in Brizzle it'd be good to see. Will have to see if I can get the Friday off work though first. Can anyone see the times of finishers on the site or am I missing them?

  • They're not really timed. Last years paperwork got lost which is why only the top 4 is listed.

  • I've just realised the smallest cog I own is a 16t. So I'll not be troubling the top 10.

    Meh.

  • Want to borrow one? I have 12>16 and I can bring a chain tool if needs be.
