We just arrived in Cologne. Our hotel looks like a borstal and I'm sleeping in a child's bed.
We have driven 1000km today, chapeau to Stu and Al for their excellent driving and for tolerating the hats-megamix all the way here.
Better, slightly more uplifting report to come for definite!

Delighted to report that van crew safely back to base, bikes and gargle unloaded, and tired but happy campers delivered to train station for final, tottering leg of their epic journey.
Van swept out, and returned, with hire man in awe of totally truthful stories of the escapades, some repeatable, many best buried at sea, that mark our stupedous trip to the Prosecco Hills.
Team, it was a pleasure, and a privelege, to have your company in one of the most beatiful corners of the world I have ever visited.

We are back! Currently making my way home carrying my weight in duty free.
Epic write-up to come, I've been writing down quotes from all of you and intend to publish at least a medium sized novel and make my millions (which I will spend on carbon bike parts and prosecco).

My lawyer will be in touch.
I would urge that you to make no reference to speeding pulls, reversing, back flips, indoor rock climbing, naked chef impressions, or upside down cycling...

I've still got hundreds to go. These are just the ones off my mobile, not even the ones off my proper camera :| Could have spent a week taking pics of the bikes that were on display! This is the museum that brought the bikes over there, btw: http://www.museostoricodellabicicletta.it

Herewith the snaps.
I have not split them between "Happy Crew" and "Rapha catalogue crew."
I wonder if people can spot the differences?

Six days away from London with the best company, this has been a most excellent adventure. I am shit tired now.. 1968mile round trip and six countries. The only thing I will credit France for is the lack of traffic, from dunkirk to calais, If I never see the E40 around Brussels again I'll be a happy man. A ton of washing to do, but looking forward to seeing all the pictures and reliving the past few days after an early night and belgian waffles for breakfast with the girls x

That was brilliant. Thank you Al for organising such a great weekend of cycling/eating/drinking in one of the nicest corners of the world. I don't think you could have found anywhere nicer to stay, with such great hosts too.
Big up everyone else for lovely company on and off the bike, it was a pleasure riding with lfgss' finest. And of course big thanks Hats on the 'shuffle' wheel of steel in the van. Keeping us sane through mile after mile of autobahn, and feeding us wine gums.
See you all soon.
Here's a linky to the garmin from the sunday fondo spin

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/231970319Good work mister.
Have you the max speed on the descent of Monte Grappa, which put paid to my mobile, and had you fish tailing the hair pins?

75 miles for the gran fondo? Oh, what. I only did 13 miles fewer than you guys thanks to my shit sign-spotting skillz that took me all the way to Vidor before I realised my error and turned back.
But then again, you guys had an extra 2500 feet of climbing included in those 13 miles. I feel a bit ill even typing that out.

Here you go. Next time we'll start early enough to make sure we have enough daylight to finish. Nowt like a bit of sideways action at 70kph!!!

Yeah I saw on strava. I thought maybe you'd got bored waiting for us and gone for another lap!

I can still taste the gargle. Where is the grappa.. I knew when we arrived on Friday that Base Campion had win written all over it. As a 3rd generation family run DOCG vineyard producing on average 150,000 bottles of quality prosecco a year. Cunegonda, Fernando, Margi, plus the kids and Grandma all made us feel at home. Great tip heading to Trattoria alla Cima in the dark via back roads on the first night, to taking the squad to Treviso (fast train) to catch a few hours in Venice made our hosts the friendliest and most hospitable ever. Also big shout to Massimo for organising this event, and Dudley of 5034tours for bringing +60 Brits over for the weekend.
We went, we rode, we drank a lot of prosecco, we ate a lot of gelato. It was fantastic.
The hardy van crew are still somewhere on the continent (Cologne I'm hoping).
Reports and photos to follow, I'm sure
