I thought we were Temperance ?
Yes, great idea to meet etc . Blatchford hated the bureacracy that came with clubs, I know how he felt, and wanted the emphasis on fellowship. So meetings should be as short as possible with only the necessary business being done.
My thoughts were that we should agree monthly runs with perhaps the same starting point-this means either a runs secrtary or each run having an agreed leader. For example, I d be happy to do an East London and Essex one.
Are we affiliating to any bodies for racing etc , ie BC or RTTC. This helps with indemnity insurance . This might not be needed if don't race as a team and those who do race do so as their 1st claim club.

suggest future meets could be here.. http://www.wiltons.org.uk/Bar.html
(check out the visual tours) for no particular reason except that it is a fab space and close to cable street, just in case the moseley lot turn up in jack boots, we'll be suitably inebriated..x

Can I trouble one of the elder statesmen on the list that actually own a chequebook to post off my dues in exchange for real gold nuggets or its beer flavoured equivalent? :/
-
• #114
I've got a company's chequebook, but I'm £72 overdrawn :-)
-
• #115
I don't think I've ever had to write a cheque. Traveller's cheques maybe... Bloody exclusive leftists with their own special hand written money and contrived application systems. I'm being oppressed!

the City Police have barracaded Paternoster Sq.
When I went there on Friday, it looked to me as if the police were not involved and that it was private security.
