More nuanced but applicable.

Trans Pyrenees 2 is postponed until next year.

That's a shame. Thought that was pretty like to go ahead.

Anyone following gbduro21? I know a couple of the riders, hoping they pass by Sale/Mcr at a time when I can head out and friendly heckle them a bit.

No need to apologise, just trying to point you to the right place.

Ha, cheers. I'm still adjusting to this more forgiving version of the forum.

Christoph Strasser’s biggest bonk and other stories. Very enjoyable.

This is really awful. Please donate if you can.

Does this count? Up on the 7 day cycling distance world record. Apparently beat the 1 day record for the 7 day challenge yesterday.

Looks like his second go:
https://road.cc/content/news/cycling-live-blog-30-april-2021-282969Fund raising: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/josh-quigley7dayrecord2
Current record: Jack Thomson (Australia) - 2,177 miles / 3,505 kilometres in Sevilla, Spain in September 2020. 311 miles / 500 km per day daily average distance
Spain vs. Scotland for a distance record... I know which one I'd choose :)

Aye its his second go, knee blew up last time.
Absolutely, if he gets it, it should be with distinction. Grim as up here.

500k / day for a week with no aerobars. Rather him than me! Best of luck to him.
-
• #4720
How come no aerobars? Is it to do with the record
-
• #4721
-
• #4722
Yeah, the record specifies a UCI legal 'road' bike, not a TT bike or anything with clip-ons, etc.
-
• #4723
I imagine the fact it’s fucking grim here possibly lends to blown knees.
Weathers to be shit the next week he’s either very brave, waterproof or stupid.
Wish him the best and hope he achieves it but you somewhere nice ffs.

Is there a thread for Further East?
If not, @Norfolkbound is doing very well, over 300 kms in and holding 6th place. But @neilp is 50 kms ahead of second place, approaching the 400 km marker and absolutely smashing it.

Looking like he’s behind now.
Did he build in the ability to catch it or was it nail or fail.
No "That'll buff out" comment...? Lufguz, I am disappoint.
