How are you guys following this? Frrt and Twitter?

Support aren't sure how he's keeping going. Sounds horrific.

I think schedule beats record by 40 minutes.
I expect he would stop riding if he got more than 40 behind his published schedule.
He'll obviously have another schedule which will be what he has to do to break it by a second, if he falls off that one, no point riding.Forecast is for a cold night, 7 degrees in Inverness, maybe lower where he's going. It will be tough from here.

Am I reading the tracker wrong? He is due into control 46 at 19.00 he was 6 miles from that at 18.36, so pretty much on track?
-
• #1981
151 mile to go !!
-
• #1982
Not sure how to read the frrt tracker, is the time up the top (dark blue) the time for the record or the time for his beating it by 40 mins?

Yes, amazing.
Talk on Twitter if someone trying to contact medic friend in Inverness to get him a neck brace. Fingers crossed. -

Great news considering the conditions!

Looks like he's finally got out of the rain. That must help a bit.
Looks like theres zero wind now, but when it does pick up in a few hours time it will be from behind. -
• #1988
That’s 151 miles to the finish of this record. Don’t forget he’s supposed to be going for the 1000 mile record as well! Obviously neck issues may put a stop to that though

Yes

Latest on Twitter is he has neck braces sorted out.
Given he's kept going and is ahead of schedule, it looks like he is going to do it. Still a hard nights riding to go though -
• #1991
6.5 hours to go, 108 miles left.
Go @wheels_of_fire!

Amazing effort considering everything against him. Remarkable. Well done @wheels_of_fire

• #1998
Congrats on the new record @wheels_of_fire, you are one tough tough man. All the more impressive given the rain and cold.

I've just woken up and checked twitter. Amazing!
That last 100 miles from inverness must have been so hard. Something to think about next time I'm struggling on a ride.
I hope recovery from Shermers goes well. -

Not many awake yet frank to know the news but its nice to see a new benchmark set.
I think he’s behind by 10-15 now. But I don’t know what the schedual buffer is over the current record.
