What time are we talking ladies? Meet somewhere in Beth green ( or on the way out of London) ?
No problem with the guys joining the ride (ladies pace obviously) just bit too sad about the whole discussion on previous pages that might've offended/put off some individuals.
So in my opinion from now on it should be that whoever is leading the ride is also setting the rules and who does not like it there is a lot of other rides to go to.See you all on Saturday!

I am now getting surgery the day before, not even a slim chance of joining. BUT I will be in Cambridge anyway so would love to meet you lot in a pub at the end, looking pathetic with an eye patch and that.

I will tweak the route later today - will have a south meeting point (E&C or Bermondsey Sq?) and north-east (Lea Bridge/ or more central like Brick Lane courts) and to end at a pub - IKHTW any preferences? The Dev is near the station which is handy, or we could go to the mill pond.
I vote for leaving not to early - south meet at 9? -

How long do we think this ride will take? 9am ish start would work for me, depending on length of ride, but I'm not sure I'm in anyhow, so feel free to ignore me. Also, tell me shut up obvs, but the train back is either 15 or 20 squids and takes an hour...
...not sure why I've bothered posting this actually. PARTY POOPER.

I'm in, assuming I'm still welcome. 9 sounds good.

train back is £16 takes 50min/1hr to kings cross (or £15, takes 1h10/1h25min if you want to go to liverpool st), groupsave means 4 can travel for price of 2 so £8 each, depending on numbers.

Will be riding back, just for groupsave logistics planning. And if anyone wants to join me (though I will be going straight down the a10).

I'm happy with the Dev and if it's busy trundle up to The Six Bells which is round the corner. No need to bring locks if everyone is up for a near-the-station pub because we can put them all in my friend's bike shop which is about 10 minutes walk from the railway station, 5 from the Dev, 2 from the Six Bells.

Hi ladies, shall we say 9am leaving south/central spot and then pick up NW on the way?

I'm fairly sure this ride is All Welcome.
Tweaked route here: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1026991/
/Saturday 31st March:
9am at the Belisha beacon benches, west side of the junction formerly known as the southern E&C roundabout.
9.30am pick-up at Brick Lane courts
10am pick-up on the north side of Lea Bridge Rd / Chatsworth Rd junction.Aim for lunch in Furneaux Pelham http://www.brewery-tap.co.uk/
The long road out of london is my least favourite part of this route - I am quite keen to go via Epping Forest as mapped (ridewithgps wasn't playing entirely but I mean to take Fairmead Rd) but will go with the majority if others would rather take the A104 all the way out.
Timing: dunno.
Comments please (on route, timing, choice of pub etc)

I did this cycle yesterday, using the suggested route. It was really nice (give or take a few small wrong turns that we made). So, I'm happy to help lead bits of the ride on Saturday too if needed - at least to point out where not to go and/or how to get back on track : ) Depending on timing, I'm also interested in riding back rather than catching the train.

If anybody is missing out on this I'm doing this route tomorrow daytime should anybody want to tag along. Need a bit of a stretch out for my fast ride on Friday. Will be fixed and slow...
I expect most people have one of those fancy job things though :D

Careful not to offer any help lads, it will "diminish" the point of the ladies rides :P

Loads of boys need to turn up with their tattiest tyres on, then when the inevitable punctures happen they can stand about and wait while the girls fix them.

Sorry Lola, couldn't resist.
I know the issue of blokes coming on the rides was never in contention.

I can honestly say that my mechanical skills are better than Marky's* (possibly due to being bloody clumsy and braking my bikes more often than him hehe)
*he might kill me for this statement :-/

Hornet nest, no. It's just pointless & offputting, like channel 5 and the Metro.
So stop it. Thanks.Miiiight be in...riding my new geared dreamboat...
