It's a bit late in the season now but, moving away from the forum, Sky Rides would be worth a look.

Cannot help thinking that the discussion, whilst well meaning, is getting a bit complicated- getting people out on their bikes, enjoying a ride without feeling pressured into over-doing it, seems to be a good first goal?
