  • What is the likelihood of this being delivered today?

  • I think it will arrive today

  • I've previously watched the guy get out of his van with only a card in hand saying "wasn't home to receive delivery". He either had too much to do that day or couldn't be arsed, either way the package wasn't in the van but got delivered the next day instead.

  • Like your optimism.

  • A DPD guy once told me that the tracking info is always about 30mins out of date to prevent people from stalking and breaking into the van.

  • Well I am waiting a door now.

  • What the fuck

  • Oh man, feel bad for you Ludwig, this is outrageous!

  • So they were happy to 'attempt' delivery yesterday, then might've kicked it around the warehouse a bit last night, loaded it on to the van today and then decided not to deliver it as it might be damaged?

Fuck me, what a bunch of cunts.

  • Oh ffs

  • Maybe having it banging around in the back of a white van for 2 days has ruined it. Again with DPD i asked them to not deliver that day and do it the next day and sure enough my box was battered to shit when it arrived the next day.

It's Friday and Sunny, your man probably feels like having a half day..

  • I know my DPD man; it's ridiculous to compare them with Yodel. Sorry for your bad experience with them.

  • At home my family have a joke that if it's being delivered by Yodel, you're never going to receive it. With DPD its more of a 50:50 chance kind of thing.

  • To be fair it wasn't that bad. I like that fact that the are always on at your mobile for tracking with them and on the day let you update stuff if your not in. It wasn't anything that could be damaged just made me think twice about doing that again.

You should get tweeting to them about this stuff ^ it's gold.

  • The DPD drivers that deliver to me are really pretty good. We seem to get 2, Kevin and James, pretty regularly and occasionally others. Kevin is sound, always got a bit of chat, asks how my day is and stuff.

The wife buys a lot off Asos and they use them, I like that they give you the 1 hour window and IME they are usually closer to the start of the window than the end.

There was a day recently where we'd ordered some crockery from John Lewis and I'd ordered some bike stuff, came in 3 separate DPD deliveries, Kevin and James brought one a piece and an unkown guy with the third. All on time and all in good nick.

    Yodel on the other hand...

  • Recently DPD were meant to deliver new coffee scales to us we stipulated what day - to ensure it was after we got back from holiday.

3 times they claimed to have attempted delivery and sent us emails to say this. After a great deal of complaining to the vendor (we had been in each time) they sent us photos of where deliveries had been attempted. They had been going to the wrong house (with an entirely different name) 3/4 of a mile away.

  • There's your problem, your house has a name.
