its a shame, this kind of technology was initially touted at being half that price but has suddenly escalated hugely as it approached the market.

If I remember they were saying this would be about $500 / £500 / €500 or something a few months ago, but £1699?
I suppose in a year or so the price will come down as ever.
But when I saw that I was shocked, they will be toast after the first big off.
