-
• #54
ditto, although also have a preference for thursdays.
-
• #55
Well any day is good for me. I'll be at Oxfork after the alleycat tonight so if anyone else is there come and say hello to the ugly guy with stretched ears and we can discuss more pubbage.
-
• #56
More pubbage anyone?
-
• #57
Yes, pubbage should happen. It already kind of happens at the Gardeners after the alleycats now.
-
• #58
Ah cool! When are the alleycats? I've not been in Oxford long, and been cycling in Oxford for even less time! I never hear or see about any events, just the odd one on here I have seen since i've been joined up. Any info you could give me? :D

They are now happening on the second to last Friday of the month, meeting at 6:30pm for a 7pm (ish) start by the tourist information centre on Broad Street. Next one is Friday April the 20th, Girls Vs Boys alleycat, choice of two routes and sets of checkpoints depending on how masculine or feminine you're feeling, cross dressing optional!
If you join the cycleoxford.coop facebook group you should get info about any events.
The Gardeners seems pretty bike friendly, they let us bring them into the garden round the back and were happy to be the finishing point of the last alleycat.

Alleycat has been moved to the 27th due to the weather.

I'm moving to Oxford next week for a new job and looking for somewhere to stay for 4-6 weeks, if anyone knows of anything send me a pm with contact details.
Looking forward to making it along for some beers once I've moved.

Welcome to Oxford, Sandy!
Due to the sucky weather the Girls Vs Boys alleycat is being moved to later in the year. People are still meeting outside tourist information in Broad Street for a bit of a ride ending at The Gardeners in Plantation Road for beers etc.
So people only turn up in drag if you want to!

Now in Oxford, well nearly, staying in a B&B beside Drayton until tomorrow then I've got a room in Oxford after that.
When do beers normally happen?
-
• #71
Not sure about the next beers - but some of the beer drinkers and others have a ride planned this Sunday if you'd like to join in. Details on the 'Another visit' thread in the Oxford sub-forum at http://www.lfgss.com/thread78458.html

• #73
Anything like this happening? Or anyone fancy it?
-
• #74
I was hoping it would kick off with the hot summer weather, howevs rain has stopped play. the allycat has been good for beers I belive........but no harm in posting a day and time and location in here to see who turns up!

Mmm, the rain isn't helping. I propose when we get a bit of decent weather we should have an evening ride and then pub.
Well I'm easy like Sunday morning. But I'm not recommending Sunday morning, the pub probably won't be open.
