All bike parts will be extraordinarily useful if/when we have an apocalypse. Petrol will run out eventually. If you have to travel 20 miles for fresh water that's a day's walk vs. one or two hours on a mountain bike. Plus you can maybe outsprint and subsequently catch/kill/eat a dog on a bike - no chance on foot.

In the future us bike hoarders might be the kingpins. The only thing letting us down is our puny upper bodies, we'll probably be overpowered fairly easily.

I've got access to a place up there.

Built a quick prototype charging/storage thing for drills and batteries. The cords will be tidied up later.

Picked up a bunch of Makita Makpacs to make a storage solution for my other power tools. The Mayor went through them all lubing the clasps and wiping them down before using them as intended: Giant Legos.

The sweet shop next door puts stacks of empty boxes outside. They work very well as storage for bike bits.
