That’s the one. FAQ 2 says that the Scottish access code means it’s open to cyclists and, as I understand it, in recent years they have been swapping walking infrastructure for cycling (there are apparently quite a few styles in the western half). Apparently there is also a road cycling route but I wanted to follow the walking trail.
I stand corrected… I think wanlockhead is still highest village in the uk but it seems there are higher pubs.

I asked in the mechanics page but...https://www.lfgss.com/comments/17348944/
Does anyone know what these are?
-
• #7629
Nope, but I'd start with something like "rack clamp" and "u bolt" until I found google images of them. Have a look at https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rack-spares/

Been round this road before Hippy, they are proving very elusive.

google lens isnt doing much either.
The closest match I have found is https://www.yojiuelec.com/split-connector-clamp-scc-product/
Which is not the right thing at all.

Could something else work, like https://www.bike-discount.de/en/tubus-clamp-block-rear-carrier-strut-attachment
-

Yes they would work wonders and I already have a supply. Though looking to see if those struts clamps exist at all...

Brazing / making my own racks. I have those Tubus clamps and Daruma rack bolt style too, so its not all a loss. These clips were for another little project I have in mind.

For lack of a better place to ask, can anyone recommend a bag maker that does musettes or cross body bags?

Blue Lug has a pretty wide selection.

I picked up an Alpkit Stingray with a webbing ladder for attaching the bag to the top tube. Does anyone have a recommendation for best cord to run through the bag and over the top tube? I did a trawl around John Lewis' haberdashery department with no joy but figure something like this would fit the bill. Any better alternatives?

I'm looking for a set of wheels that would be suitable for riding with a loaded bikepacking setup on a variety of terrain including gravel, but ideally still suitable for road riding without being like a tank. 700c dynamo with thru axle and disc.
My plan is to have a set of light 650b on my gravel bike for fun day missions and then a 700c pair for tours and road rides. The 650b would have big nobbly tyres and the 700c something more road+.
Potentially Halo Vapour or Hunt Superdura?
Any reccomendations? Or better yet anything for sale?

This site is popular with people who make their own bags - https://www.profabrics.co.uk/collections/outdoor-rope-cord-shock-cord

Get some built by a decent wheel builder. Sjs and spa cycles have served me well in the past. There’s a few recommended builders on here too - Arkane seem to be very well regarded

Go to a shop that sells climbing or sailing stuff and get some thin 2-3mm accessory cord. It'll be super strong as it has a woven core and you can normally buy it by the metre.
