Bikepacking kit is designed to be used for
off-road riding - the bags clear trail objects unlike lower pannier bags.getting instagram likes and getting your bike on Radavist. -

I've fired them an email this morning. Hope they can find some stuffed away at the back of the warehouse.

So much this.

Before cycling the main hobby was Photography. Doing two things I enjoy at the same time, win win.. but I get the sentiment.
-
• #2787
I can't do this as I can't cycle with no hands yet.
-
• #2788
Two hands? Take photos one-handed.
You're welcome,

Yo, my dudes, you who are making your own bike packing bags- where are you getting the material? (Also what material are you using?)
-
• #2793
I've used http://www.profabrics.co.uk and their 1000D cordura for the outer, and lightweight ripstop for liners. They've got pretty much everything you'll need!

Is that 1000D the norm? 380gsm seems like it would make a heavy bag! I'm going for more of a carry-as-little-as-possible-to-preserve-the-spritely-road-hugging-joy-of-italo-steel than a stay-attached-while-I-send-it-down-a-welsh-hillside.

Look for dimension polyant vx21...I think pro fabrics/point North also sell it. 1000d cordura is useful for reinforcing high wear areas.

Yeah mine were heavy duty panniers, could definitely go lighter. I mainly went for it for the colours! Also used the 500d which seems pretty sturdy too.

ps. Nice setup!

Isn't your arse on Instagram?
-
• #2799
I've been ordering most of my stuff from http://www.extremtextil.de/, usually VX21 or 1000D on pretty much everyhing that goes outside, and thin ripstop for innards.
