Helpful forum look owners ,
2 questions that you can hopefully help me with to make sure I order the
correct bits.
I've just purchased a Look Aluminium 264 roadframe.1) It's got carbon forks with a 1" threadless steerer tube.* I've already
got a 3T ARX pro stem which is designed for a 1 1/8" steerer.* Am I correct
in thinking that I can buy a 1 1/8" to 1" Stem Shim such as follows?
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/thomson/1-1-8-to-1-stem-shim-ec055735?country=GB¤cy=GBP&utm_content=mkwid__pcrid_17321847296_kword__match__plid_&gclid=CK325fq6ob0CFe3ItAoddFQAhA
Are they a good idea/safe?2) It's currently fitted with a Shimano 600 threadless headset.* I assume
I'd have to problems swapping it out for a 1" Chris King NoThreadSet?7VEN

Are they a good idea/safe?100% fine, and the Thomson shim matches the height of the ARX stem perfectly.

I've always thought it odd that their shim is taller than the X2's steerer clamp.

The AL264 (track) is on the list of things I would spend a lot of money on to make my own. Enjoy your bike!

They all look to be the right size. I shall have to have a word.

Very nice. Bars/hoods need sorting...

ergonovas?

Whats wrong with them? Note the left hood is poking out from behind which may or may not be an optical illusion.
ergonovas?
Yep

TM was saying handlebars should have the tops level with the ground, I was trying to explain that doesn't work with ergonova's but he wouldn't listen. That picture sums it up nicely.

The bar to hood transition is dead flat and parallel to the ground. Aesthetically, if the drops were a tad longer it perhaps would look less odd, but the bars are dead comfy in all positions so don't care.

^this.
Ergonovas look weird when the top is on level with the ground, the drops look steep, a little annoying when sprinting off the saddle.
