  • At least my bike is rideable at the moment.

  • buys heds

  • So much cry

  • Where are you looking such that you have the luxury of choice? Is there the choice of a 56/7/8?

There's lots of sites on the continent like Leboncoin and trocvelo which have lots of Looks and some are reasonably priced. Always negotiate. Some people really don't want to post to the UK, but if you offer to cover costs etc, they often warm to the idea. And lastly, always pay by PayPal goods/services so you've at least some protection. Or just pop over on a ferry and go for a day trip with cash. The ability to speak French helps greatly, as does google translate.

edit - I put a link for a 55cm one, but er, its just sold for £780. :-(

  • Some mad deals. What have you done

  • Yeh, there's lots. My particular favourite at the moment is the steel 243, but alas its way too big for me. :-(

  • From a recent, and most amazing, trip across the Alps/ Dolomites. Me and Lu-Lu the 675 Light bonded properly...

  • built up myself: 675 light 2014 XL/ Zipp 303s/ Zipp bars/ Di2 and those pesky Look Aero pedals who's useless carbon leaf spring broke...

  • If anyone wants something retro and muddy, clicky.

  • Excitement levels at all time high. Dropped large bag of bits off at Rat Race. Tomorrow, I'll collect a fully built LOOK.

  • Nice one Sven, join le club. What is it?

  • Tis this AL264 from a few pages ago. Think 6700 Ultegra with 3T finishing kit and obnoxiously loud Hope RS Mono's.
It's my first ever 'nice' bike although it really isn't that great in the scheme of things but it's very me i.e doing things the hard, long expensive way rather than buying something ready built. The journey is half the fun getting there.
Fizzing in the loins in anticipation.

  • Hi, my two Look,s KG 221 and a KG 186 both being worked on as we speak.

The 186 is in CP at the mo.

    Andy

  • Nice 186. I also have a 221, seen here in happier days. Sadly it's in bits at the moment as I've been forced to sell most of the gruppo...

  • They are great to ride, I'm in the process of changing the Shimano for Campag 8 speed just need the brifters and I'm good to go.

    Andy

  • Niiiice. It's not ideal in terms of aesthetics but a modern set of full carbon forks will improve the handling a huge amount. I swapped to Easton EC90SLs on my KG176 and they made a huge difference.

  • I managed to miss these posts. ta for that. what size is that 243? I think I might have to buy it for his n hers lameness awesomeness.

  • And if you are after a Ti Look, you might want a stem and seatpost too, non?

  • awesome.

  • Build day. Will get some better pics when it's not raining. I.e next summer:

  • ^ Rad af, have you ridden it yet?

  • Nope, will take it out for a proper spin in the lanes on Sunday. Weighs 8.4kg so not exactly light.

  • I saw one of these today. Being ridden by an idiot in the dark and pissing rain with no lights. Looked nice though.
