Where are you looking such that you have the luxury of choice? Is there the choice of a 56/7/8?
There's lots of sites on the continent like Leboncoin and trocvelo which have lots of Looks and some are reasonably priced. Always negotiate. Some people really don't want to post to the UK, but if you offer to cover costs etc, they often warm to the idea. And lastly, always pay by PayPal goods/services so you've at least some protection. Or just pop over on a ferry and go for a day trip with cash. The ability to speak French helps greatly, as does google translate.
edit - I put a link for a 55cm one, but er, its just sold for £780. :-(

Some mad deals. What have you done

Yeh, there's lots. My particular favourite at the moment is the steel 243, but alas its way too big for me. :-(

Tis this AL264 from a few pages ago. Think 6700 Ultegra with 3T finishing kit and obnoxiously loud Hope RS Mono's.
It's my first ever 'nice' bike although it really isn't that great in the scheme of things but it's very me i.e doing things the hard, long expensive way rather than buying something ready built. The journey is half the fun getting there.
Fizzing in the loins in anticipation. -

They are great to ride, I'm in the process of changing the Shimano for Campag 8 speed just need the brifters and I'm good to go.

Niiiice. It's not ideal in terms of aesthetics but a modern set of full carbon forks will improve the handling a huge amount. I swapped to Easton EC90SLs on my KG176 and they made a huge difference.

Not quite the right place for these but...
Supposedly a 1984 La Vie Claire brake set.

^ Rad af, have you ridden it yet?

Nope, will take it out for a proper spin in the lanes on Sunday. Weighs 8.4kg so not exactly light.

I saw one of these today. Being ridden by an idiot in the dark and pissing rain with no lights. Looked nice though.
At least my bike is rideable at the moment.
