Here's mine:
The first one is a LOOK KG227. It was sawn in half by some right c-unit who also stole my girlfriend's Bianchi. The two bikes were locked together.

Well after that experience I decided to strip off most of the parts of my ruined LOOK KG227 and buy a new frame to move the parts across to. I ended up getting a LOOK KG271 off a chap in France and started to build it. I've only just now got it working thanks to some help from Pia in Hackney Wick I've taken it on a couple of rides and took it to the Crystal Palace Crits on Tuesday. I'm an appalling bike racer but I didn't finish anywhere near last and averaged a speed of 21.1 mph on a challenging circuit! Here's my new baby. :)

Saw this last night outside the pub.
So wrong it's awesome. ended up chatting to the guy, who said it was his old road bike, and now just an awesome pub bike.
Two speed kick back hub, front disc, air horn...

Dream frame, along with the ti Merckx, though I assume they both come from the Litespeed factory.
Need to see one of these built with a Mavic groupset.

just bought that - £91
not sure what it will ride like but thought it would be an interesting frame to build up -

not sure what it will ride like
I think the early skinny-tubed ones are probably fairly unremarkable - made to be ridden by people who thought 531 was about stiff enough.

serious bargain. A friend has one of those frames and loves it. He rides hard too - one of the best climbers I know

now when i ride my new bike the excitment will be tempered by the knowledge that i am a person who thinks 531 is about stiff enough :(

encouraging - i've never had a carbon bike before so i might as well start with an entry level one - also i never thought i'd own a look frame, especially not one i bought for 91 pounds!

It was stiff enough for track sprinters riding low 11s back in the day. "Unremarkable" is a very desirable quality in a frame.

Can anyone here who's ridden one of the "skinny" tube models comment on the ride? Is it probably flexy around the BB shell like my (Vitus) Peugeot Fibre De Carbone? I liked that ride. It was like riding a spring (before I managed to detach the BB shell from the seat tube!).

I have removed the decals from below the laquer of a carbon MTB fork. I used very fine sand paper, then abrasive polish, then spray laquer (stuff for boats). Bare in mind that this was a rebranded generic fork. So the decals are probably laid over an initial laquer layer.

what diameter are the 90's skinny carbon tubes?
-
• #122
I think the first ones were standard steel tube sizes; 1" top tube, 1⅛" for the seat and down tubes.

anyone feel like rescuing this?

It's awesome, the bike is much better than the rider...
??
Actually, I was thinking about stripping the paint off my carbon fork- is this insanity, or is there a simple chemical process that will remove paint without banjaxing the carbon/epoxy?
