I wanna be in a dark basement when one of these tracks is dropped. Clubbing is pretty shit but I miss bits of it. Trying to get a bunch of pensioners (sorry, middle-aged parents) out to some proper tekkerz is fucking useless these days.

I know what you mean. I keep my hand in when doing the Dissonance Network stuff with Paul. Hopefully we get more gigs this year.

You ever play down south though? There's fucking nothing down here. I remember being in Scotland for a wedding and just walked past what I later found was Dave Angel playing in some club. That doesn't happen here. (mostly because I never leave my house now, but still, you know what I mean)

Currently annoying the missus on a work call with...

Nah I think we may have something lined up for Manchester soon, but nothing further down South just yet
-
• #2661
When you say "soon"?
Do you ever post dates on here?
-
• #2662
Nah we never promote ourselves! š
I will do though when I get dates
The only date I do have is March 16th but its in Glasgow

Of course I'm overseas on Mar 16. Then again, I was promising to go to Pressure in Glasgow for years and never managed. "It's not you, it's me..." :D

Forum trip to Glasgow it is then.

On a Thursday night! You'd be more than welcome!

I did drive Bristol-Glasgow-Bristol in two days a few years ago when my son was racing in the velodrome up there.

Oof! That's some going!

London to Glasgow is only like 4.5hr by train. They'll even take a bike too.
-
• #2669
You get 133hrs to ride it...

Angel is on at the (quietly) best techno spot in the world in Feb.
Edit to add - not been to club 69 for 20 years!

Fucking hell. I'm also not around for that.
To be fair, I did see him play at Fire in London once.

I liked the earlier stuff by Dave Angel his releases on r&s and the Tales of the Unexpected album. But felt he went downhill by the time of globetrotting and his ātech funkā period. I got the impression that he may have disappeared for a while but sounds like he is making a comeback of sorts - I think Jonas Stone recently interviewed him for the Jockey Slut comeback magazine Disco Pogo.

I probably got into his stuff because of 39 Flavours of Tech Funk :)
Actually I think I have a few of his older sets on mp3 but I definitely have this double CD.
Have some of his newer stuff too. But he's just one example I mentioned. The north, Scotland and Ireland have much better tekkerz than London.
Break and drop are immense
