that does suck balls!
this weather lark has been the hardest thing to get used to again after moving back, i took all the sunshine in south africa for granted.

Yeah, looks like it's going to be light showers. But don't rule it off yet, give it til the end of the day.

The met office have updated their forecast, and it's looking good lady & gents! Few showers early morning, sunshine for the rest of the day

Does anyone have a Garmin or a TomTom or a phone that has a useful maps program?
I cant import my points into nokia maps (piece of shit), for some reason it keeps failing halfway through, so no route planner for me.
I am counting on you Essex boys to have some superior local knowledge

I've written a cue sheet, so we wont be quite up shit creek

Leaving to get the train now.

Nice one Dan, Matt & Stu for a fun spin today.
Just missed the rain too, perfect timing. At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, I am really happy with us skipping the suburbs and meeting up in Essex again sometime for another spin, definitely.

• #113
yah very good. really enjoyed the outing

• #114
I think your finish spot is wrong on that Dan, we went to Frinton.
-
• #115
Definitely a fun day!
I'll get researching some other Essex destinations!

Unless someone suggests something better I'm going to revisit the Windmill Tavern in East Hanningfield this weekend for some enormous chips and real ale. Think it's about 20 miles, along the same route as we did on Saturday.

• #117
How many more weekends have you got left before you leave for Birmingham, Stu?
-
• #118
Just this coming weekend I think. Going back to brum next weekend
-
• #119
Bikes, chips and booze? Sold.
-
• #120
Damn, this weekend is no good to me. Working Saturday, then a play in Kilburn, then going out for a friend's birthday late on Saturday night, I imagine Sunday will be a write off, regrettably :-(
-
• #121
Anyone else for chips?
-
• #122
What time are you planning on going?
I really want to get a long, hard ride in this weekend, so might join you for the bit to East Hanningfield, eat some chips and then ride on somewhere.
-
• #123
I'm pretty sure I cant make it now, think I'll be either packing for uni or driving up there this weekend.
Please try to keep organising rides and getting Essex's cyclists together while I'm away. I'll be back for Christmas and if there's not 3 feet of snow at that time I'll be up for riding.
Might be an idea to start a trades & sales thread. The one for Birmingham works really well and is aided by the fact that most buyers/sellers have met in person at some point. Raid your respective parts bins for stuff you'll never use... someone else might benefit!
Anyway, see you all soon. Laters!

That's a shame Stu, see you when you get back!
I'm still up for a ride though, as long as your up up for Amygdala!
Saturday would be best for me...
PS good effort on getting this all started Stu!
