Palermo, Sicily. All hell has broken loose.

OK, I'm slightly worried.

We're on holiday in Palermo, Sicily. Our apartment happens to be in a pretty run down area of Palermo.

The mafia just had a fight with our neighbor for throwing a loud party late into the night, pissing us and everyone else in the area off, attracting complaints and eventually the police, which the mafia didn't like. So they're pissed off with the neighbors.

As we're on the terrace right next door to them, I'm little bit anxious about being mistaken for them.

Anyone have any words of reassurance?

Going from what the neighbors responsible for loud music said... They could actually just be taking the piss, knowing we're foreigners and all! Then again there was a lot of fighting and all the market stalls hastily closed up at about midday. The bustle in the street disappeared very quickly when the fighting started.

I went there last night and had one called the Calabrese. It was very nice. Had doughballs too, which felt a bit childish.

I only go to pizza shops that are halal.

I quite like pizza express, the really big thin stretched ones are nice. I cover them with their fake parmesan and tabasco which seems to have gotten weaker over the years.
