Finally I have an appointment for a digital survey.
One step closer to smashing walls down and having room to swing a cat (in a strictly metaphorical sense).

A bit hipster and yet I feel strangely drawn to it.

My husband and I have lived full time at Innermost House for six years. The house is about twelve feet square, and there is no electricity. Yet we live a life of luxury here. The greatest luxury in life is to live with what you truly love.
...Our two forks and two spoons are English-made of hammered silver, and have been with us for more than twenty-five years. With so very few possessions, we choose particular things that are fine, and of a quality equal to their importance in our life. "If it be rich, let it be plain,"— and if it be plain, let it be rich. Between the necessity of the thing and its material quality, each possession is valuable to us in richly meaningful ways. When you have such a relationship to possessions, it's no sacrifice to live with very little.

Plastered walls, white, in the middle of the woods. I actually thought I was going to see some carpeted flooring at some point. A bit too country Chic for my likes. Mag house.

"my husband, Michael Anthony Lorence, who is a private confidant to people of the world who come to him for the special kind of conversation made possible by this house in the woods."
So he's a serial killer?
That house does have the slight whiff of psycho killer that those of enforced extreme order and neatness seem to pull off so well.

I really like this house:
http://www.abaton.es/en/projects/271070731/estate-in-extremadurathink it's the way it the discreet (ish) exterior, in all that nature, gives way to the modern interior.

Ok so a plot of land near us in peckham has caught our eye. We're currently going a bit mental to see if it's feasible/we can afford it/want to do it. This evening we've been reading the southwark planning application form.
We're quite skint, but have enough money saved to get the land. I'm a student at the moment so cash flow is not assured, but we can be thrifty/live at parents in law in order to survive. It could be right adventure, or just bonkers, hmmmmm
