That might require pp though as it'd be bigger than the 3m2 allowed for pd due to it being on the front of the house .
Do like that idea though too! -

I don’t think ceramic tiles are particularly frost resistant, do you suffer from frosts a lot where you are? Are they intended for outside use?
Hopefully being that close to the house they’d not get too cold, but if where you live is a frost pocket, it might be an issue.

They’re “proper” terrazzo evidently so not ceramic tiles with a terrazzo effect

Those terrazzo tiles are nice, but would also check if they are dangerously slippery when wet.
Maybe they could be brushed to make them coarse? -

There’s a lot more to think about than I originally thought!
There’s non slip sealant available for outside use ( google told me this) -

Still waiting for a ballpark quote on a 20m x 10m high sided greenhouse. It’s only been 2 months, they claim to still be ‘doing the maths’ FFS.

lol at this programme and me getting annoyed by it. One of the episodes they go to Ghost House. An award winning house with a fairly interesting story behind it https://www.ribaj.com/buildings/ghost-house-bpn-architects-moreton-paddox-warwickshire-concrete-underground-isabelle-priest
It was sold in 2022 and this programme interviews the current owner as if this was their design choice. Just seemed like such a weird idea…

Loving Tinie and his extensions programme, provides a wonderful contrast to Kev and comes with bolder outfits. This last one, featuring a million pound extension being added by apparently two of the daftest people to appear on such a programme. No flicker when Tinie points out that their kitchen (apparently pretty much unused) is as big as most new builds. Go for it, guys!

100 sqm kitchen… don’t even cook…
-
• #5367
A long time ago I was chatting to someone who was a keen cook about kitchens, and they relayed a story about being invited over to the home of one of the top guys at Fidelity. They were chatting to the wife about their recent home renovations, in particular their epic £100k kitchen.
Someone: "what an incredible kitchen. You must love cooking here"
Wife: [confused] "ummm... I don't cook, we mainly eat out"

Design related query... I treated myself to a set of Sabre Bistro flatware for my birthday (middle age is here)... I've been reluctant to put them in the dishwasher despite the label saying its safe to do so... has anyone else got them and dishwashed or years with no issues?

Anybody know anything about Gordon Russell furniture? Liz has seen a nice sideboard, but I’ve no idea if it will be shonky old chipboard or worth going take to look at. Ta

Gordon Russell pieces are typically high end/good quality. If it’s a good price and you like it, go grab it!

What's the handle scale material?
We have the teak(i think) version and the wood dries out faster than you can say "oil". No dishwasher even. -
• #5374
I've got the white acrylic ones... directions say 45°c max and it looks like my dishwasher doesn't have a program below 55°c?
-

Handwash it is then. :)
They look good in white though.
Fwiw we also have another set og cheaply made (at least they look so) cutlery with plastic scales that have been absolutely fine with dishwasher at 55 every day.
You could extend the sedum roof all the way across over the garage
