Vitra are making the Landi chair though, and it stacks to 6 high. The design predates the dsr chair and was an influence on the Eames.

Huh.
I guess they both make it, Vitra has it in their current catalogue too.
It seems that Herman Miller is the NA producer and Vitra holds the Euro license. -

It doesn't but the hole pattern or configuration is the same as that for the fibreglass side shells, so if you were minded to have it that way , it could be possible.

So, do you think that someone has taken the legs from one chair and the wire seat of another and put them together? I might just drop SCP an email tomorrow

It could be a marriage but then again I have not seen every combination of seat and base that Charles and Ray eames created. Looking on g00g images I did find a similar pairing but with a bikini cover. I think we are limited only by our imagination and how we need the chair to perform.

I don't actually find that shape comfortable, at least in the fibreglass version. Haven't tried the wire one.
-
• #2136
The wire version needs a cushion or pad unless you want waffle bum/back

The chair is really comfortable (with pad) and I like the stacking legs, just found it a bit weird that it was sold by SCP as an original when I couldn't find any examples of it...
Anyway, it will take it's place in our office

Suggestions for a solution to store A3 paper and documents, please.
I'm looking for something wall mounted and low profile, sort of like a brochure holder.

Went to the Isokon Gallery today - thanks for recommending - as you say, well worth a visit. The building itself is just sublime.
The penthouse flat, in all its glory, is going to be open next Saturday and Sunday as part of the London Open House.
