Things I still need to find:
Wall mirror
Floor lamp(to take cylinder/drum shade.
Clock
Coffee table
One or two misc small pieces - glassware, tray, wall art etcAll at the atomic end of mid century design.

Clock - you'll be wanting one of these then.

Yup. Both the Spindle and Ball clock are pretty high on my list.
Going for plain white curtains on the doors onto balcony I reckon. Don't want to go overboard on the prints if I have a garish wallpaper. -

Won't it be weird when you've got those things and the wall/room is "finished" though? Like, it's kind of fixed/static.
I used to covet beautiful wallpaper, I thought one day I'll have a feature wall... Turns out I not only have stupid amounts of stuff that make a clear wall and carefully chosen pieces somewhat unlikely, but that upon acquiring a house I've got much more into nice paint colours and I'm no longer really fussed by fancy paper.I still want to make a ludicrous statement ceiling fixture/light fitting though, and I have an old wheel I've been saving just for it...

The other wall - white, 5m long is destined for our ever-evolving collection of photos, 'art', skate decks and other assorted crap.
This is our first real place and I want just one wall to fit my idea of how it should be. If I get bored I can just change it. Point very much taken though. -

I think I prefer the Ball clock out of those two, maybe a bit of playfulness to offset a very serious recreation of mid century Usonian idealism?
I made a clock out of a walnut salad bowl and some works I got off the internets. :)

Nah if you want it, do it, it'll look awesome. I'm just not the kind of person to have tidy feature anythings, even one wall. It's amazing how long the everyday happiness of having good colours on the walls lasts though (10 years previous of rental magnolia, including on woodchip). Also, we can now hang all the art we've made/collected over the years (cheap stuff) and been hidden in boxes, I love picture rails.

A very interesting planning case worth following:

i lived near there a few years ago, and it always seemed like there was something odd going on in that pub. Friday / Saturday nights there was always 4 or 5 supercars parked outside, white lambos, big bentleys etc, and it didn't really seem like a millionaires boozer.
not a reflection on the post above, just an observation

Have started packing up our flat. Keys to the new place are imminent.
The back panel on the sideboard was previously replaced so will have no qualms in pinning the cables to the back to keep it tidy.
The wallpaper has been ordered...

I bought three of those back on a plane from New York many years ago. Manhattan flea markets, gotta love em.

Are you bloody kidding me?! Don't tell me the price.

Two of them had full back and seat covers and one had a bikini. It's amazing how heavy vintage Herman Miller ones are in contrast to copies.

Ok , I won't tell you about the Aalto side table I bought for £25. Seller assumed it was ikea. Like this.

Nice but very pricey...
£50-60/roll would be our upper budget, not £170/m!
A new challenger appears:
