Does anyone have experience writing on architecture? I'm looking for a contributor for a magazine article. Anyone interested PM me and I'll give further details.
Actually not vital to have written on the topic, but feeling able to or having had arts/fashion/culture work published previously would be handy.

A question for Architects and interior designers... Would any of you (or anyone you know) have an interest in Teak ? All FEQ standard (ie 'eco') from sustainable plantations. Long and wide, matched logs, cross, vertical or mixed grain. And levels of quality for the maritime business all the way through to furniture, floor boards and decking. Direct from the saw mill in order to reduce overheads and cut out the middle-man.
Can provide samples of all qualities as well of examples of the types of environments our teak is being used. No minimum quantity (within reason) and up to 2000m cubed per shipment (containers FOB). If anyone buys 2000m cubed in one go I will retire for a while!!
Interested to hear your thoughts/questions.

congrats! i thought ild stick my head in too in this thread.
passed my masters degree (cum laude if im being cocky) in march at technical university eindhoven in NL, the other techn. uni after the more internationally known delft.
work mostly from bigger scale into architecture; (non)physical structures, interests etc.. im very much competition team material, and look into doing that now.now recently relocated to berlin to start my life here. previously did an internship at kühn malvezzi, of recent modest international fame due to being in the second round of the axel springer campus in berlin with oma, big, scheeren and sanaa after which they got kicked out though. still like what they do and just popped by today to do an open application. see how thatll pan out.
im actually an architect in the netherlands due to being able to carry the title with my master's in my pocket. thats changing though, theyre bringing in a more german system with two years of apprenticeship after studies after which you get the title. so, basically i didnt dodge that system by moving to germany but i dont care, its the skills and experience that count, not the paper. will get my title in the netherlands secured though before jan 1st in case i ever return.
got my first interview lined up for next week and looking forward to it!

Wow, that's a pretty big list. It's a shame you can't get a list of architects to browse by, but my preferences would be more Brutalist/Modernist inclined, don't have time to go through everything but a quick skim brings up:
8 Stoneleigh Terrace (Part of the Highgate New Town estate)
Balfron Tower
Highpoint (Highgate - definitely worth a visit)
Kew House (new house by Piercy & Co, looks well worth a visit - http://www.dezeen.com/2014/04/16/kew-house-london-piercy-company-weathered-steel/)
Gingerbread House (Great new project by Laura Dewe Matthews - http://www.dezeen.com/2013/02/06/gingerbread-house-by-laura-dewe-mathews/)Union Chapel is always worth a visit as it's stunning, but I suspect it's open all year? Same with 2 Willow Road as it's a NT house, so open during the summer months.

went to Stoneleigh Terrace a few years ago, don't remember which number but assuming it's the same guy it was really lovely - a very proud resident showing you his home.
Gingerbread House does look great.I find Open House rather overwhelming so usually don't do much unless I'm volunteering somewhere, prefer to cycle round looking out for green banners and no queue but it's a bit of a hit and miss method. Saw a talk by Tim Lucas on that Kew House last year, really interesting build from the engineer/owner's point of view.

I went to Norman Foster Studios last year after an abortive attempt at seeing Battersea Power Station. It was really interesting, AND there was free tea and biscuits.

This year I will try again to go to the closed-loop recycling plant in Dagenham. It sounds brilliant, and I think visiting will be like that kids' TV show with the woman and the dog flying around in a plane visiting crisp factories.
Good to see that efforts to make buildings address the street are alive and well.

Replete with stupid nonsense that's meant to be pretentious but is too stupid for that:
