  • Stick to Ebay dewd...

  • It conforms to the standards

  • I'm going to get away from ebay and get some feedback and public opinion. I would rather cancel the ebay listing then stop talking to you guys. Abuse and all...

  • I sell more to shops then anything else...

  • This has to be a pisstake. Come on, own up!

  • I'll take bets now on how many pages this thread is going to run to...

  • I think it's ok to advertise here and somewhere else if he has more bikes to offer.
Someone brought it up when devils falcon started selling his stuff here.

Doesn't mean that it will help you andwags...

Trying to sell that crap on the forum full of bike geeks?

You shouldn't have started that thread for your own good.
    Too late..

  • General Rules

The following rules cover 90% of the policy of London Fixed-gear and Single-speed.

    • Advertising, spamming, Internet_troll
and flaming is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and private messaging system for these purposes. We ban people who do this.
    • Please avoid introducing classic flamewar topics unless you have something genuinely new to say about them.
    • We do not allow posts that violate the London Fixed-gear and Single-speed community standards. This include posts that link to hardcore or abuse pornography, other material considered illegal within the United Kingdom or USA or simply considered NSFW (Not Safe For [viewing at] Work) and also includes consistently posting content that is extremely dumb or pig-ignorant.
    • You may not register an account for purposes of deceptive behaviour. Aliases are acceptable providing there is no implication that you are the person you are caricaturing.
    • You may not use the account of another user knowingly without their explicit permission.
    • You may not SHOUT in thread titles or otherwise draw attention to your egotistical and sorry-arse thread. Even if it's important, urgent, etc.

While these rules cover the majority of incidents that occur, they cannot anticipate all circumstances. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way and to maintain the overall coolness of the place.

We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice, restrict the permissions of a user or their ability to access the forum and to ban anyone who violates the forum rules as defined in this post. Any threads/ posts/ users that breach any of the above may be deleted or modified without notice.

The administrator and any moderators shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

The more general right to refuse access, ban a user, block an IP address, or otherwise restrict the functionality of London Fixed-gear and Single-speed services in any way is reserved by the administrator.

The decisions of the administrator are final. As such, it's generally never a wise idea to piss him off.

  • Sacredhart - how should I word this to get the feedback I'm after. Or is Ada right and I'm just barking up the wrong tree because this bike is below the normal quality level expected here. Advertising and selling is secondary to me here.

  • I'm not the person to answer that or tho I can hazard a pretty good guess at the feedback you are going to get.

Check with one of the administrators like @velocio

  • If you want feedback then maybe you should have started your thread on the general section or the bike & bits rather than here, this is for selling stuff not for getting feedback. You are either selling or you are not. If you are selling then you can't sell on ebay at the same time. If you are after feedback you shouldn't be selling.

  • Okay, I get it. I was trying to kill too many birds with one stone. Good to know.

  • I want to make sure people know what they are getting and what will need improvement later. The goal here was to have a great frame and reliable wheels so the bike is worth upgrading and keeping over the years

Can you explain? What makes your frame and wheels so great? Frame "easy to pedal"?
If they're indeed so good, why not trying to sell only this?

Aluminium forks can be harsh, frame is Chinese and nasty it is not, but it's not an expensive bike and way better then anything else at this price.

What makes you think that this is any better than create, unipack etc?
I personally wouldn't want it for a beater.

  • fuck it, dibs

  • I don't think it's good for tricks as bar spins would be impossible

    I'm out then.

  • This is an aluminium track racing frame. The tubes, the welding and the alloy used are all high quality and if you rode one, you would see. The power that gets put to the road relative to your effort is much better then a heavy, flexy hi-tensile steel frame from create, unipack, etc. The longevity of the tubing is also much better then cheap steel.
The wheels are a similar story. The alloy used for the rims is same as expensive aluminium rims, unlike create and the others, not to mention stainless steel spokes which won't seize up after the first winter. The hubs are standard cones and bearings which are realiable and can be repacked unlike cheap cartridge bearings which can't take the loads that hubs are put through.
Selling only these things might be the answer, but I figured a complete bike would be easier to sell. So...

  • I think it looks rad. nice work.

  • haha. wicked

  • They spot weld the steel chainring to the aluminium arms.

You really don't have a clue about metal do you.

  • the saddle needs to be at a better angle

  • oz - can you be more specific

  • The hubs are standard cones and bearings which are realiable and can be repacked unlike cheap cartridge bearings which can't take the loads that hubs are put through

Again you're spouting shite. If cartridge bearings can't take the loads then why are some of the best hubs available using them. Good cartridge bearings are cheap and easy to replace.

If your rims are expensive then I suppose they're branded?

^ Aluminium welded to steel... really? even wikipedia or a basic knowledge of metal will tell you about it

  • "The longevity of the tubing is also much better then cheap steel."

hmmm Aluminium vs Steel on a long term test?

  • I'll take bets now on how many pages this thread is going to run to...
