He was being facetious.
You'd have to be a real twat to take your description of a black man as black as a racism.
It's ridiculous this level of political correctness.
Did you know you can't say "black paint" any more?
Do you know what you have to say instead?
Leeroy, please paint the wall.

Its stupid how pc things are now. F"ck that im going to say black paint.
How things change, my mum used to ride a horse as a child called nigger. So going from that to not being able to say black paint. :(.I do agree with you.

Did you call the police?
No. Honestly, didnt want to listen to the bureaucratic shit. Police wouldnt be arsed to do anything, "No force entry, nothing was taken, blahblahblah."
upon second thought i reported it online. just so i can be contacted to provide info in case there was other (successful) burglaries in the neigbourhood yesterday.

Greenracer, are you a bit simple?

OP aside (and I'm still not sure what a difference to the story the guy being black makes) is the rest of this thread some sort of conspiracy to employ so many layers of double sarcastic super sub satirical ironic racism that my head implodes? Yeesh and Greenracer - are you actually playing this with a straight bat? Enquiring minds want to know.

Actually chaps I don't care what level of sarcasm you're employing. I have a genuine problem with Yeesh's little Leeroy joke. It's shit and racist. And Greenracer's bizarre assumption that it constitutes a genuine story about black paint is a massive fail. Oh and I really couldn't care less that your Mum used to have a racist name for her horse and that this makes you feel ok about casual racism.

The fact he was black added nothing to the story. Would the OP have mentioned he was white if he had been or would he have simply said "A guy tried to break in".
-
• #13
That's my point exactly.
-
• #14
Wait. That was my point exactly? Wasn't it?
Oh no, I was talking about paint.
-
• #15
It pisses me off royally when people begin stories like this. What are you doing, setting the scene? Wish he had taken all your shit and upped our statistics.

Was the intruder old, young, short, tall, fat, thin?

He was black, not El DeBarge light skinned black, but like really Dikembe Mutombo midnight black, that's all you need to know.

Was the guy African or Caribbean? There's nothing worse than ungrateful failed asylum seeker.
You should definitely report the incident to the Border Patrol.Strange, predictive text changed "that" into "tynan". WTF?!
Heard noise from the kitchen which faces the backyard yesterday afternoon. Went to check and saw a black guy sneaking in through the open vertical sliding window in the kitchen. He was surprised, tho not really shocked, to see me here, and just murmurred "wrong door" and then walked towards the living room door, unlocked it, and left through the backyard.
He didnt (have time to) take anything, though I thought he was to open the door and left his friends in. Obviously I was shocked. First thought afterward was careless me to left the window open, so ebay-ed deadbolts etc. Then I realise as the thief made no attempt to figure out if someone was in, there wasnt much i can do except locking windows whenever i am not sitting next to it.
What makes me angry was the fact the law allows thieves to try their luck like that without much risk or cost. What if he heard I was in the house as soon as he enter the kitchen and got himself a knife? What if it was my missus in the flat? What if he came with friends? Cant help but think about the discussions in the news following killing of a burglarer by the houseowner weeks ago.
