Coolio. I might be interested in the groupset if you split it. Are the hubs Ultegra?
-
• #5
the bike is in london so i can't check myself but i think they are shimano rsx.
if you willing to take the group that be great also if you could send that frame back to me also that be awesome...i just bend it back and ride it:-).
i would be paying for postage of course. -

I'd be careful about bending that back (as it's Alu). You could always remove a spacer from the axle on that side to compensate. Also, those Vitus frames are flexy, so shoudn't be too hard to squeeze a few milimeters when fitting the wheel .

^^You’re probably right. I’m looking for a 27.0. I’ve got an Alan which will be much the same as this, and I know it’s not 27.0, so doubt this is either. I need a post for something else.

sorry should have explained the situation a bit better....
the bike is in london at the guys place i sold it to.
i obviously can't expect him to take it apart and also can't expect him to have 30 people come to his house and take parts off the bike.so if some one wants to take the lot that would be best.
but just the wheels or group should also be ok if take it off the bike yourself:-)sorry about the mess but i'm just trying to keep everyone happy.

dibs on the saddle if you split, PM coming...

Yes..it would be bad form to have 30 or so scavengers turn up......though it would be amusing in a way...especially if he was not expecting the devouring hoard with screw drivers to turn up out of the blue....i retract my questions.
However, your damage, if the bike was properly packed should be covered by the carriers insurance.

the carrier(dhl) is blaming royal mail and royal mail is blaming dhl.
as it was posted via dhl but delivered by royal mail.
also there was no obvious damage to the box or at least it wasn't reported to the courier when received.
i been in touch with dhl and will of course try and claim whatever is possible but to hones it was only insured for 95 quid which i didn't know before! -

The bike is at my flat in SW8, off S Lambeth Rd. Really bummed about the damage as was looking forward to getting this bad boy out on the road.
Anyway I think the best thing is to arrange a time that I'll be there and then whoever is coming for parts can show up then - Sat morning is good for me, say 10am - 1pm.
Sash - just let me know who is coming for what and how much etc
