oxalic acid for oil stains but that’s for when you have stripped back to bare wood.

That looks pretty good. For me that would definitely just live under 'patina' and I'd leave it. (But I do like things to look lived-in.)

Cheers all.
Plan is to leave it until this clay power stuff comes. Then try that.
I'm not keen on using anything too aggressive as we really like this and it's not our usual gplan score or something we've seen lots of before.
(awful photo att)

I got a large ink stain off some vaneer by using a baking soda paste. You could also try oxalic acid as an extreme but you'll ruin the varnish

Any suggestions on where to sell furniture? I've got this chest of drawers that is now surplus to requirements but have no idea of where to advertise it. It's obviously nothing vintage or super expensive but I know it's a pretty popular range (Habitat Max) so would hope there is a reasonable market for them. Cheers

I've got four of these in green I'd like to sell - would anyone be interested before I eBay them?

In an update to my dining chair search, I managed to pick up 8 brand new Domus chairs at the Vitra sample sale this morning for 75% off. Little bit different but really happy with them!

I know taste is subjective and all, but fuck me. That looks like some sort of BA 1st class seat from the 70s.
Just needs a yellow life jacket and a polyester blanket.

Seems to be extremely marmite on the looks dept. I quite like it

I think it's the juxtaposition of the skinny arms and the massive retractable footrest looking bit.

Altho weirdly I quite like it in sofa format.

We still have 4 oak ones which I’m imagining are no longer going to be required. Can ask my wife and come back to you?

I’ve got a soft spot (but not a spare 5 large) for black frame/black leather. Way less aeroplane-y

My sofa is feeling a little tired, and my Christmas project is going to be giving it a bit of a refresh. It’s the Habitat Robin Day reissue which is getting on a bit. The first part of my project is to fill out the cushions a bit with some wadding. Has anybody done this before, or got any recommendations? I was looking at getting something like this, but I’m not sure on the thickness needed.

Then I need to look at something to put onto the leather. But, I don’t know if it’s “real” leather, or just a bonded type material.

Check the label, should say what it's made of. Failing that, find a non-visible spot and hold a flame to it, if it's pleather it'll shrink / melt, leather won't do much.

Have the same sofa, definitely leather. Think they look quite good a bit battered. But interested to see how you get on with the padding. Ours is still in pretty good shape after 10 years or so.
Toothpaste works a treat on water stains
