Looks like the Chase Bliss Blooper is getting close to completion. It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a pedal, but also probably over £400 which is a tough pill to swallow. Damn these boo-teek pedalmakers..

Starting to get my head around the MK1 Perfourmer.
Also worked out how to to some basic stuff in Live so can make proper recordings:

Afternoon all. Flogging a pair of Grado SR80e headphones. Rubbish for tracking but excellent for mixing. £60?

I have upgraded my audio interface because I needed more inputs.
Anyone interested in a Steinberg UR-RT4? Neve transformers..

Just released an album with a mate, (think late swans/daughters) uses drum machines and synth stuff throughout, maybe you guys will enjoy? P.s very envious of the kit on display in this thread.

I bought a Tascam Portastudo 424 MK III a week ago, without a PSU not realising they're really tricky to get hold of!
Really long shot, but if anyone knows where I can get one, it's the 230v 6 pin DIN one needed. I've tried My Volts, they don't make them
Cheers

Anyone know anything about US vs UK output? Would this work in UK?

Not without a step-down transformer.
-
• #1741
Sadly not, unless you buy a stepdown transformer as well. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

I haven't read this whole thread but there useful info here if you end up having to make/mod your own. https://www.gearslutz.com/board/low-end-theory/816449-modding-tascam-424-mkiii-portastudio.html

I just bought a porta one. Jammed tape deck which may or may not be fixable, but if not the mixer section works and it was very cheap.
This is how the power looks, definitely bodged. Maybe you could get the US one with the correct connector and do something similar?

Also, this might also work (try and find out which pins the tascam wants power from...) sending something 0.5v more power than it requires shouldn’t any harm. It’s the amps that are important

cheers - I've ordered one of those US PSU's and I'll try a step down - this one should work - the 424 power consumption is 22w

Get ready for the RM handling fee 🤣

I need more audio inputs.
I'm using a Focusrite Clarett 8 interface. Ideally I want the Clarett Octopre to be matchy matchy but its quite expensive.
My wallet is telling me to buy the Behringer ADA8200, but you know, Behringer...
Is there something else somewhere between these two that is half decent? Requirements: ADAT, at least 8 TRS compatible inputs ideally on the rear of the unit. Outs are a bonus but not essential.
first play around with the 1010 Music Blackbox
