Lol! TB, you have some pulling power, that's all I can say :-).
.
[QUOTE=tricitybendix;2508920]Still in the same place and the driver has just advised us to get off the train if we would like to smoke as we're not going anywhere anytime soon. Hmmm.
Not a rant yet, but I might have one if I'm still here in an hour or so.
It's a shame you don't have your bike with you, or you could have pulled the train along for a bit.

You don't sound like my dad at all. Last time I spoke to my dad about cycling he told me off for not riding the 200 miles to their house faster.

Phew. :)

I have just cleverly organised a meeting at 5pm on Wednesday so Wednesday's afterworker will now leave at 6.30pm. Tonight's is still 6pm.

• #1106
Where are you heading out to tonight again?
-
• #1107
Ingatestone, probably out through Noak Hill/South Weald and back via Upminster/south Ockenden, though I'm a bit worried about getting lost in fog so possibly just back the same way.
-
• #1108
where is weds one? south?
-
• #1109
Yep... might do the route I did yesterday actually, will map it at lunchtime and post up. Basically lots of the b269 towards Tonbridge then back up via Star Hill.

• #1110
i am in for weds then

• #1111

Hmm Wednesday is a bit longer than I was expecting. Might try to shrink it a bit if I have to leave late. Though I probably won't get round to it.

Rosie, you do know there are some hills there, right?
You've changed :( -
• #1116
I don't think I can do a much flatter route in that area without doing the a21 all the way...
which is an idea
-
• #1117
Might be in for Wednesday; need to check a couple of things.
-
• #1118
Dan, are you still in for tonight? Anyone else?
-
• #1119
Not me; I don't like the cold, or the dark, or riding my bike. and I'm feeling especially lazy. Sorry.
-
• #1120
pfft. well I don't like going to the pub and drinking beer.
oh wait.
-
• #1121
I'm out too Rosie, sorry about that. I should be good for later in the week though.
-
• #1122
cool. I might sneak off early in that case (although every time I've said I'm going to do that I've ended up leaving late) so if anyone else decides to come let me know.

Why hello afterworker day, fancy seeing you here again.
I have rescheduled my meeting so should be good for 6pm departure and then if anyone wants to join south let's say cafe st germain at crystal palace at 6.45.
Apparently a bunch of other rides are going out that way tonight so we are likely to be overtaken a lot but I bet none of them are stupid enough to be doing 65 miles after work. Hurrah.
I might have trouble checking the thread today so if you want to come but need me to wait or something text me.

Would love to join, but got to work today until 6. Some other day. Have fun!

That route looks tough! Hopefully still doing this...
Rosie, I know I sound like your dad, but that your knees seem to be fine now doesn't necessarily mean that they are fine. I used to get that, too--having seemingly recovered, I then rode hard again, without having the knee examined, and without making much of a change to my set-up. Over time, this pain-fine again-pain rhythm led to long-term knee problems that had me off the bike for a good while, and I can still feel it now. I very much hope that you are fully recovered, but I worry that this sounds like the pattern I used to experience. I don't have medical knowledge, but I'm sure a visit to a sports physio can't hurt. Take care of yourself there.
