You are correct so I’ll have to keep the Hifi subscription.

Probably getting a bit off topic here, but give Qobuz a go. £14.99 a month gets you hi-res, and none of that MQA shit.

Enjoying the Floating Points and Pharoah Sanders album right now.
I'll give it a whirl, however, this in a review
Sanders’ sets his horn aside and begins to vocalize wordlessly, offering small flutters of syllables closely into the microphone.
has me concerned about jazz yodelling again.

Yes, I could have done without that bit, but it’s mercifully short.

I’m not a real jazz head, but I really enjoyed this:

I still think Elaenia is the best thing Floating Points has ever done. Especially the live performances. The KEXP and Thump sessions were so good!

Yeah that’s good.
To be honest, right now I’d be happy to see any band anywhere!
Just got an email yesterday saying that Love Supreme festival is cancelled which I have tickets for 😩 -

Had the original The Arrival of Victor Feldman in my YouTube playlist but it got deleted. Found the original tracks shared. Victor Feldman on vibes and piano, Stan Levey on drums and legendary Scott LaFaro on bass. I don't think these are all the original album versions, but they're pretty close.

two years ago the Jazz press were saying Rosie Turton, was one to watch.
Last night's performance of Rosie's 5ive band set up minus violin player, but with pianist, double bass, drummer, congas, percussive sounds and mixologist. produced a crossover jazz sound with some crazy cacophony at times, ace solos and a melodic laidback sections too..
I had goose bumps well after the show at Ronnie Scott's as we stayed out abit longer than planned with cocktails passed midnight.
The West End is back to its crazy ways, and i've missed it..
Bandcamp FTW if you like lossless but also want the artist to actually receive some of your money.
I agree btw, it’s a great release.
