  • And Burt Reynolds for most of his career. Allegedly.

  • Ask friend for a refund

  • Get it repaired. That is unlikely to last very much longer and once it starts cracking the repair will get a whole lot harder.

  • Can anyone recommend a carbon repairer for a £1000 carbon spoked wheel I dropped a multi tool on? Slight dent in the rim

  • Target composites? I've sent them a fair few frames and the work has always been great, better finishing than the original on a cervelo seat stay. They're very busy at the moment though and I've got no idea if they work on rims but get the impression they can sort anything carbon, the main guy used to make F1 cars.

  • I have used HQ Fibre products in Norwich to repair a trispoke before. 01603 713972
    They did a good job

  • After?

  • You tell me, I wasn’t there.

  • My text seems to have been partially erased, meant to say:

the main guy used to make F1 cars

before he got tyred of it. 🥁

  • I was having issues with front shifts yesterday and after some investigation I've discovered why.

I'm really hoping this will be repairable as this frame is like a member of the family.

  • Frame is 10 years old btw

  • Yeah, damage around rivets should be easily repairable by a carbon repair shop.

  • done a fair few of those, remove rivnut/repair surface/replace rivnut jobs

  • And @neilbah

I was given the details of a guy in Surrey who has said the repair looks fairly straightforward, which is a relief. Should be done in a week or so

  • edit

  • Has this frame got some kind of bump-stop thing going on? It may well have reached its limit and mashed the head tube. I'd have that fork out asap and be inspecting the areas that could be put in stress in a situation where the bars are over rotated.

  • Go to the shop you brought it from and get it quoted for crash damage, Cannondale do crash replacement.

  • I did not know this, it was bought online though, so not sure if that impacts things

  • Didn't intend for the pun there

  • Yes I think you could be right. If it looked alright in that respect to the naked eye you'd be happy riding it?

  • If you brought it new, then go to any shop that sell Cannondale and provide Proof of purchase.
