Might be an idea speaking to Clefty?
She has very long legs, and requires a tall frame with a top tube that would be (compared to the majority out there) fairly short.

ok,
i'll do one of them pm things
thanks :)
but am i right in thinking that the pursuit shape would give me a good height and be quite short on the top tube?
I can imagine riding one and thinking "damn, this shit is tight"
y'know

dibs fron wheel if you selling ;)
you can try out my large affinity lo pro. I'm 6'1 and used to ride 59cm square frame but this is much more comfortable for my liking.

Hauska, sound like your body porportion is similar (almost exact) to mine.
I am 6" but ride a 53-54cm frame as the top tube is the right reach for me despite having a ridiculous amount of seatpost/stem height.
ideally I should be riding on frame like your, but realistically need a ridiculously short top tube to compensate.

@Sushigeezer - yes, i'll pm you in the week. Where do you live? Maybe an evening thing?!
Ed - the problem i have is long rides. I go to Reading often and my back just kills after a chunk of time. I try to arch my back too, so that im not slumping over but i just look seriously gay, pouting my backside out.....
i guess you gotta be there

you're doing long rides but want a pursuit frame?

holy shit.
someone to contradict my thinking.
bad idea?
-
• #34
@Hauska I'm by Canning Town/West Ham but central every day.
superjoe have a good point but after changing from "properly" sized frame for me to lo pro (700c to be specific) I would say it's just personal prefference (and leg to upper body ratio).

I really think that a trip to see Scherrit/Bike Whisperer would be a good idea.

1+
Or any good bicycle shop really whom can help you figure out what size frame fit you better.

4k is a long ride for some.. I'm looking at you Shoreditch/Hoxton..

Has the OP tried regular stretching? Or proper handlebars?
Both many, many pounds cheaper than buying a timetrial frame.

maybe with the zipp wheels he's thinking of doing a 10 or a 25?
maybe he wants to take his packed lunch and a change of clothes with him too? -

What miro meant by proper handlebars is this;
Not this pointed slightly downward with no bar tape and no hope of procreating with other sexes;
-
• #44
Ed is misrepresenting me somewhat.
Slightly 'tippy' bullhorns are alright. Lack of bar tape also if your into thrash metal*
*new rules.
-
• #45
Oh Jesus. The oracle has uttered what proper handlebars are.
Cheers Ed - I was in the dark there.

am i getting a dig for the rack?
let me say.
its strictly 'business'.
-
• #48
sorry but things on your existing bike which you could change to help are, change post for inline post, move saddle forward, level saddle angle and raise your stem.
or am i missing something here?
your saddle angle/position really is a bit unusual... especially with the comfort issues you are experiencing...

If we had a pic of you on your bike it would be easier.

not sure how this helps?
its not mine.
