  • Yes, Andy generously donated it to Retrobike and the proceeds will go to the site.

Damn should've made an offer when it was up for grabs over there but I knew it would sit in the garage waiting for my time and just eventually get split and sold on. I hope Tarboy does it justice....

  • It took almost 24 hours to get a first direct response.
and it wasn't a positive response.
Somebody else beat me to it?

  • ^same here. well, didn't hear back at all actually, but i had pm'ed before your post in the thread, so some bugger was mustard. Bit gutted, other than the barginous price, the frame was perfect for a fixer-upper for my missus and the stem/bars would've been the bizz for my path frame....ho hum. Look forward to seeing it bought back to glory....and if some fucker is going to split it and bang it on the bay .....well, me and karma will be watching.

  • Apologies that I didn't reply individually to the 15 PMs I received and that "sold and paid for" posted this morning may have been more ambiguous than I thought.

I'm confident that the guy who bought it will restore it and looking forward to the photos when he does.

  • Actually not sure there is much there to restore, it's looks quite a mish mash of parts. The stem and bars, as valuable as they are, actually look too long for the bike (although may fit the rider), not sure on wheels and I don't think Stonglight 80/ 100 crank actually came as a pista, other parts don't look all that either imo.

(yes I am a little bitter to miss out on such a bargain too!)
