To be fair my CD's were not too log in looking 2nd as well, couple of months saw uneven wear. Granted it is more uniform now. Dura Ace pads, it broke my heart as they looked 'PRO' before the anodising started to wear.

Sure it wasn't ceramic rims you had tester? I have heard they can look like new for many years! (cost a few bob though)

Absolutely certain. I don't doubt that CDs can end up looking like that after a couple of months of daily all weather riding, but I wouldn't then describe them as "very little use"
