I'm confused trying to buy CRW.

I have installed the CrownPay app so presume I now have a wallet. I have sent some BTC to the CrownPay app's BTC wallet. How can I spend some of my BTC on CRW? Do I need a bittrex account (not open) or something else?

All ASIC farms I'm afraid. A good GOPU can mine at about 400Mhps. A basic ASIC can do 12,000,000 Mhps for only double the power usage

There are other cryptocurrencies that are still mineable by GPUs as they haven't all moved over to ASICs or use more memory intensive algorithms than ASICs can provide cost effectively.

I've no idea which ones though, or which ones are relatively profitable given UK energy prices.

I'm not really sure this is true any more. Especially in the UK where power is at least £0.13 per kWh.

Brownouts used to be common in halls of residence as students were (ab)using the electricity they aren't billed for to do profitable mining (regardless of the efficiency).

Just for a laugh I spun up an AWS GPU instance to mine Ethereum. I can't remember the exact numbers but it think it cost me about $12 to mine about $3. I was kind of surprised the ROI was so high.

In all seriousness though, my ether and lite coin purchases have at least doubled, the £50 of bitcoin (oh yeah, big spender me) is still down at like £20.

I’d hoped the small amount of coins I bought at the end of last year/start of this one would pay for Christmas this year and leave my initial investment as well but that’s still looking pretty unlikely.
