tl/dr
I assume the conclusion is that investment facilitates broader economic activity, whilst gambling does not.

What is the current recommended method for purchasing a large amounts of bitcoin for speculation purposes?
Personal circumstances has lowered the opportunity cost risk that previously hindered me.
Currently I have a coinbase wallet and looking to purchase a single large amount through a service like

Why do you recommend this method?
I can see the benefit to anonymity in paying in cash.
I would actually favour an auditable method when investing the majority of my estate. Also how do you confirm the bitcoin are authentic before payment to a man in the street?

Interesting. But he doesn't deal adequately with the challenge posed by the deflationary characteristics of the currency. The glib response of traders reducing prices is hardly a solution. Interest (and inflation) are central movers to investment and general circulation.

Good spot.
The debates around benefits/need for inflation of a money supply to encourage liquidity are ongoing and Bitcoin is effected more than others in that it can easily be destroyed by magnetic fields unlike gold and is irreversible unlike paper.
so in 2140 when all 21 million bitcoins are mined there will be less than that in circulation.
But I hope economic systems have improved on our current capitalist model by then.He does a great job of explaining the technological basis & philosophy of Crypto-currencies (which I hope this thread will be renamed)
