Swiss Stop green are for aluminium rims, as are the black, but the green are marketed as 'high performance'.
I'm not prone to hyperbole, but, bang for buck, the green pads are the best upgrade you can make, the improvement in braking performance is amazing.Swiss Stop's black pad for aluminium is supposed to be for longer rim life. You might want to consider them if you want to protect the silly Mavic coating(s).
They seem fine to me but I'm easily pleased. I imagine they would be a softer compound and wear quicker.
I do not reccommend Aztec products. You get what you pay for in this case.
whoa, quite a few interesting comments.
What's the point of the CD finishing if it's just there to be worn through? I just don't get it?
The wheels were on a bike i picked up last year - personally i'm not bothered about the looks that much (ok, maybe a bit) but just that it really diminishes the value of the wheel after just a few wet rides... they weren't cheap!
Anyway Swisstop Green has the most positive comments so i'll opt for those.
Thanks all
