  • Thanks for the ride. Thanks to John and co for the organising of this. Met some very nice people. Would like to come to the next one.

P.S Thanks for the muffin, came in well handy.

  • Go on who was taking pictures? Get em up here!

  • Was feeling really down for most of the morning. Double punctures and falling off hard further compounded it.

    Then Hatbeard played this...

...and my mood started to lift.

Then the sun came out and HB was playing..

Thanks a lot man. This is why you go for rides with others rather than your own. Thanks to everyone who helped with my flats and John for organising. PEACE to everyone I met, catch you on the next ride. ONE!

  • so fucking tired. good times!

  • thought id see if anyone was at lmnh after work drinks, noone was there (but sumo) so i got a beer and a raisin thingy pan and spoke to Theory Swine, and sat in the onut side bit.. then someone needed some bike skills (had some cling film stuck in their chain tensionet thing and cassette) so armed with my knowledge and the lmnh limited tool box i manage to get remove some plastic and pass on some advice then sat in the bar with the owner her friend (whos going to the csm degre show) and some canadians. taked about some jistory, asked to leave as tehy were closing and cycled very fast home. not bad for someone who hasnt been out since the last forum shindig. the penny farthing thing bob. x

  • pissed that i missed this, damn my over-sleeping!

  • great ride, great day, great people.

    thanks for organising john/kris

  • Many thanks! nice ride as usual

  • Little triptych for you:

Small fry, and didn't detract from the awesome ride. Thanks to Tibbs for the muffin, Olga for the disinfectant stuff, whomever gave me a plaster, and John for masterminding it all (the ride, not my fall).

    Roll on Dunwich/Herne Bay etc...

  • top quality first aid work there, from grazed skin to bandaged up in a matter of minutes
that whole section round the millenium dome was treacherous and full of hazards

good to put some new faces to names too.

got home, munched through an entire frozen pizza, garlic bread and vienetta and was in bed by 8.30pm. good times.

  • Was glad to finally take the ride up the ski slope.
A good day with a tiny bit of warm rain, thanks for coming.

  • Greetings folks,
Well what a lovely ride that was. Ma3k-imum respect (and forthcoming nuptial good vibes / wishes) to John and Kris for leading the ride.

    Highlights
    The company
The view from on top of the disused dry ski slope
    Mini time trials.
Foul-mouthed Morris dancers – please mind your language...

Nice riding and chatting with you all. Forty miles clocked up and happy memories...

    Peace and Love,
    Tim

  • Well that was fun, we should all do it again sometime.

    Cheers Ma3k

  • Gutted I missed this. I don't know why I thought I'd be able to make it on the same day I was due to move out of my flat... Duh.

I think I saw the peloton as it crossed the East end of Victoria Park yesterday morning?

  • we were a bit late setting off. would have been about 11.20/30 we went past there I think.

  • Yeah that sounds about right

  • Great ride and great company. Nice to put more faces to names as always. Thanks John for leading this and Tibbs for the muffin. I knew I was carrying a decent pump, painkillers and plasters for a reason! I hope all those who came a cropper heal up soon.

  • Tibbs had muffins!? Gutted!

  • I really enjoyed this ride. The muffins were win.

Who would have thought it but my bike was perfect for this ride!

  • I rode to the top of the Alp when I went there with cupcakes a little while ago, it's fun.

You may not want to know that the alp's clay cap (which holds in the poison beneath) was breached, so it's really not safe!

But I'm sure tar, phenols, cresols, xylenols, naphthalene, pyridine bases, creosote, benzene, toluene, xylene, solvent naphtha, ammonium sulphate and ammonia solution, sulphuric acid, picolines, quinoline, quinaldine, acenaphthene, anthracene and dicyclopentadiene in small measures are good for the immune system.

    Right?
