not that im actually gonna be there, but i reckon later in the evening might be better just because of reduced traffic levels. on the other hand later might not be better for people working early the following monday. unless its a bank holiday in which case ignore me
-

The day after is a bank holiday, yes.
I can do a later time, no problem. Only said 3pm cos there will probably be polo in the morning and that gives those who play reasonable time to recover/sort their lives out. -

Aw man I totally screwed the dates up. I'm in Ludlow for a friends birthday bbq/skate/houseparty so there's no way I can make it. Have a good'un all. Stay safe!

Looks like Neil and Hash will have to scrap for the trophy then. Although Dubmaster may have been training hard

The key word in that sentence is may.

We'll do a couple of laps of the course before the start so that you can scope out good lines through the corners and junctions. The main race will be followed by the lock up challenge, so remember to bring a lock or chain or whatever you have.
Christy (and maybe Simon on his motorbike) have kindly agreed to be marshals so hopefully everything's set for some high speed combat! Trophy and prizes are up for grabs (covered in part by the £2 entry). Please drag your mates along too, I'll have a stock of beers at the start/finish and free Double Deckers for everyone!
Get on it!

Temple street...this is a very hard climb...also with terrible surface on the road. Classic Brum.

Hard climb! Lol

I didn't want to say anything with my lack of climbing expertise but yeah...

I used to find the nearly identically-steep Bennet's Hill a hard climb, but back then I wasn't a Pro cyclist with derailleur gears.

Anyone know where I can get a few really short wood screws (about 10mm). Going to try Screwfix but any other places I could try?

I hope no one FLAKES on this ride which is in BOURNVILLE. I might need a PICNIC after the race to BOOST my energy levels. Some people might like a DAIRY MILKshake.
if anyones going to be late, be careful. I hear it presses the organiser's BUTTONS, he'll cut off your FINGERS if you're late.
my friend FREDDO is coming. He smells like ROSES.
i'm sorry...
