Nice Fred. Are you a member of the T4/T5 forums?

@stedlocks how much if that isn't too much of a rude question? I'd still love another type2, as reliable and easy as the T4 is

Sold our transit in the spring been regretting it since. Going to hire one for summer hols I reckon.

That's my T4 up a pass in the Pyrenees, it's not converted as such but I built a fold flat table thing that becomes a bed and there's curtains too, it's not very luxurious but we still managed a trip to Spain a few weeks back. -

Well I paid £5,200 for it in 2010 so somewhere not too far away from that ideally.

I'd love to get one, but need something which will do 2000 miles in one go without failng. Only then it will make sense.
I travel a lot in the Summer and like to stop over on my way to see the family. This year plan to go through Austria and Czech Republic. Would be nice to stop relying on hotels, but don't really want to break down half way through Europe. -

Oof! Too much for me I'm afraid, looking for a T3 tintop for about £2500.

A ratty, raised and big-tyred 4WD T3 came flying past my local the other night... It was fucking epic...
Beautiful things, ex-flatmate had a lovely '72 bay window Westfalia... And a Fastback... Nutter...

^^ that ones living the other side of Brixton.
Our street has 4 owned randomly by 2 sets of houses - French poi waving festival types and their much older but similar unrelated neighbours.
Don't mind 'em really until the festival kids remember they need to keep the battery charged, even if the tyres are flat and run it for 30 mins outside our open windows. They're not exactly quiet are they.

You do have a fair collection of them on your street... Hairy family have 3, no? smirk
-
• #42
You live in an Australian neighbourhood?
Upper Leytonstone has few camper vans parked around. All houses over there are privately owned (as opposed to the council properties down here) and rented out to many of them twats who wear flip flops when shopping in Tesco in January. -

This is true. (It's only the UK really where they're referred to as a T25.)
Not to be confused with this which is a Type 3:
Beetle: Type 1
Vans/Transporters (camper, combi, wedge etc): Type 2
Notch/Square/Fastback: Type 3
411 and 412: Type 4.
Type 2's can be split into T1, T2, T3 and T4 depending on model year.
Christ, I'm boring.

It's a different beast to the older models.
