From our perspective back at the start line Jim just kept going, and going, and then he disappeared into the crowd still in full skid. If I hadn't run into him later I could be convinced he was still going.
-
• #357
Swoon. Jim taught me how to skid you know.

• #358
My longest skid is maybe 75cm.

Hang on, I'm sure the one on the right was the woman in the vip toilets who spent 30 minutes during the Elite crit back combing her hair.
Paging Ms. Chris for confirmation.
that's definitely her! and the other one is the chica with the white sweater top that became her bodyguard/hairdresser. this must be right before she went to the toilets for her 45 min failed attempt at "volume"
good entertainment though!

I do believe that Mr Pith is Jonathan 'Joff' Summerfield, the round-the-world wheelman: http://www.pennyfarthingworldtour.com/
Yes for sure it's him. I rode next to him on the tweed run for a while. He let me know back then that there'd be Penny Farthing Races as the Nocturne this year. Definitelya good addition this year!

Currently using the TFL Oyster website to work out how the fuck I got home.
I got on a 35 bus to London Bridge but that was approximately 90 minutes after I left Smithfield and I have a slightly sickly feeling I probably took a Boris bike for a spin some point before that but the details aren't available yet.
Note to self, a small salt beef sandwich does not actually constitute "lining the stomach" for an evening of tramp beers. Good times.
KEN bike ffs

KEN bike ffs
What did ken actually do to get the bikes there? He was out of office before he'd had a chance to finish the sentence "hey lets get some bikes and..."
Might as well credit the French and call them all Velibs.

now writing the article to go with them. The Alex at Warp9 & Twenty23c/Orbea pics are getting a bit of interest. ;)
I've a HD film of the skidding that I'll be editing down ASAP.. huge fun :)

What's this got to do with the Nocturn? That's from Brick to Brix.

Anyone here at the finishing line or have any pics of Charlotte and I crossing the line for the endurance race? I thought I was a nose ahead but the results have Charlotte coming in first. It was a great race. I would love to know/see how close we were.

Looks like Charlotte had it by a nose. The next shot is her looking to her right, smiling, then a couple riding across the line and punching the air.
It looked exhausting!
