Was having a discussion with some security colleagues, and an interesting hypothesis appeared.
*What if Bin Laden had actually been killed just hours before the Royal Wedding? Of course the US governmebt would be in touch with the British government straight away, and they would have discussed how to release the news. News like that isn't just given out, it is managed. The British government ask if its possible to delay the news by a couple of days, as the Royal Wedding is now due, and would have a targeted audience of maybe 2 billion. It would be the perfect opportunity for an attack that would be guaranteed the widest television and media audience ever. Militants could then send suicide teams to take out the Queen, or the wedding couple. It would be a disaster for the Coalition Forces, and a huge victory for Al Queda. *
*Then a time is arranged to release the news, and within hours, before any news organisation can even get an interview, the body is buried rapidly at sea. The complex is set alight in a firefight, but there were no witnesses to Bin Laden's body being removed from the blazing mansion. But the Pakistani TV keep showing the blaze, which keeps simple people believing the whole tale. *
None of the above is true....and David Kelly did commit suicide.
I am surprised is had taken so long for the idiotic conspiracy theorises to materialize.

Hardly, foolish comparison.
why foolish? they were both fanatical murderers!

Err... I wasn't talking of Hitler and OBL.
Clearly the comparison being WWII and what is happening now. -

Clearly the comparison being WWII and what is happening now.No one is making a comparison between WWII and the current situation.
The context of the comparison is this, both figures (Osama and Adolf) are national figures of both hatred and fear, so I can see why people would pour out on to the streets to celebrate - I imagine people in England during WWII would do much the same on that news that Adolf had been killed.

I'll give you that, both deaths share the same when it comes to facts.

The timing of the attack on the compound, being entirely under US control, could easily have been determined in part by considerations relating to the royal wedding. Easier than doing it before the wedding and keeping it hushed up. No conspiracy needed.

"Sir, we have located Osama and are moving in for the kill now"
"Cease fire, Kate looks radiant and iPlayer doesn't work out here"

. . could easily have been determined . . .
The operative word here being 'could'.
There seems to be a confusion amongst people who espouse this kind of nonsense where the hypothesis itself is almost seen as evidence.
There is no evidence for this, it's just a silly conspiracy theory, a hypothesis knocked up in someone's mind.

Pretty much sums up the whole "Osama is dead".

There's no evidence for it. However, I don't think entertaining the possibility that the timing of the attack was determined by a significant public event in the UK amounts to endorsing any kind of conspiracy theory.

The thing about conspiracies, is that it is always the establishment, that wish it hushed up. Even when people as eminent as trauma surgeon David Halpin and epidemiologist Andrew Rouse make an observation, it is rapidly derided and then shut down.
Sometimes these theories are just a bit of fun, but those who wish to shut them down quickly, are worthy of being viewed with some concern. So Pengy, you didn't get your job via Penna as a third party interviewer did you?
Taps side of nose twice.
Hardly, foolish comparison.
