• is there any of you london lot who could take just 1 person over the weekend? If he (phatyack from dublin) can be housed then we have got everyone sorted....go on, im sure he'll bring you beer

  • phatyack (Alex) is an awesome fellow, stayed with him in BCN for the Euros, would have offered him my single spot had I not been allocated someone already!

  • I'm planning on driving down from Birmingham on Saturday morning. How is parking in the area? Do you need a permit or something? Could I park up somewhere Saturday morning and leave the car there until Sunday night?

  • PARKING:

North of the courts, up towards Stoke Newington Common (around Brooke Road), there's no parking restrictions on street parking, so you'll be fine to park all weekend, you'll just have to drive around for a bit to find a space if it's busy.

  • am free to help build things after work on friday. can bring a battery dril + 2x batteries. tell me when where!

  • I'm rather excited about this to say the least.

    In-fuckin'-deed.

  • ZOMBIE UPRISING (28 players Later)

    • Max Knight
    • Hassan Raheem
    • Yorgo Tloupas

registered, no housing needed, we're staying at Highgate Cemetery

    Sick.

  • Is there a social venue/HQ for Saturday night??

  • #sckbrn's third didn't work out so we still need someone...

The three sisters pub right at the south east corner of Hackney Downs.

  • Where will be the throw ins on friday ?

  • There's a polocat at Downham, I imagine there will be throwins before that.
But I'm sure you could probably organise games at any of the other courts, a lot of people will probably want to play a bit before the tournament proper.

  • #sckbrn's third didn't work out so we still need someone...

    pm-ing

  • There will be throw-ins Friday at Downham with a BBQ (volunteer needed) if it's nice.

There will be court building at Downs from midday onwards (Ali also needs people to help load the van Friday morning from 9am onwards).

Max's Polocat starts at 7pm at Downham, be there or be square.

The tourney starts at 9am on Saturday morning, don't be late!

What about The Pembury Tavern, just down the road?

  • From what I understand we weren't able to book the Pembury (although it would have been perfect, so that sucks). And it's going to be busy on a Saturday night. So showing up with as much as 150+ people wouldn't have really worked.

  • The Pembury is:
    a) expensive
    b) busy, with no private hire on weekends
    c) lacking in bike storage
    d) unwilling to do free drinks
    e) unwilling to allow us to bring in own food
    f) unfriendly towards smoking
    g) further from the courts

Saturday night should be fun, the 3 sisters have been relaxed, accommodating and have the perfect setup for 200 odd polo people...

  • I've always loved The Three Sisters.

  • Hi Stu,

Still looking for players? I want to play!!!!

I will be at downs Wednesday for intensive practice...or south if thats were players are.

Please add me to your team.

  • i think will be down on friday afternoon and can help set up or maybe i'l play throw ins at downham.

  • Likewise Luca, I finish work at 1 so will be heading down shortly after.

  • Due to Helen's broken wrist (shit), boomshakalaka is a wonderful lady down. Joe, Stu, although you don't have flame red locks, and killer lippy, do you think you could fill this lovely ladies shoes?? Or any other stragglers?

  • Or Alexis perhaps? (see above)

  • I may have been persuaded to play in drag but luckily I've been hired by #sckbrn

  • +1, Alexis is good player, someone needs to snap him up.
