I live in Hackney near their club house and there were loads of them about yesterday; there must have been some meetup on. Loads with "Hells Angels England" jackets but also loads with other countries and one that I saw did have a partially taped over license plate.
I see them about a lot and they usually seem pretty tame. I heard one in costcutter yesterday phoning his wife or mum to tell her that he got to the clubhouse safely which struck me as quite sweet/slightly incongruous.
That said, when you have large groups of people, especially when it is blokes travelling in groups, I dont find it hard to believe the OP.

I saw a similar sight on the day of the last student march/riot etc, there was an 'anarchist', dressed head to toe in black including a balaclava, buying croissants in tescos.

Maybe it was just a ninja?

Ninjas have feelings too.

Ninjas eat muesli for breakfast.

Angels don't pick fights with irrelevant and annoying flies. Your mate must have done something that caused offence.
Oh, well that's alright then...

off to youtube for a bit of Chris Spedding....Motorbiking.A classic!

iirc the easiest way to distinguish between HA and Outlaws is blue denim, one is forbidden from wearing it. I forget which...

Proper anachist would have stollen then

Is black denim alright?

Doesn't sound like Angel behaviour to be honest. Sorry to be dubious but are you sure your friend wasn't attacked by arseholes on motorbikes in cut off denim jackets smothered in patches? Hope it get's resolved and your friend is OK regardless.

Definitely strange behaviour for the Angels - i know some through the custom chop world, and most are perfectly nice, do a lot of charity work, and wouldnt cause aggro unless seriously provoked.
There was a HE Funeral in London yesterday, massive parade with police escort, so emotions would have been running high

I don't know for sure they were Hells Angels -- however three other posters confirm details of my post -- namely *38, *41 and *53
that Hells Angels were seen in the area on Saturday and that one of the motorbikes had tape over the license plate .... I didn't see it myself, but I'd say those two posts are pretty strong evidence

it was probably the result of waitrose aggressive pricing policy towards tesco, this rumbles been brewing for months...

Nice back track there...

and that's a valid excuse to beat the shit out of somebody then?
funny (not) how people use a death and the resulting emotion to cause more grief. i remonstrated with a tipper driver after he tried to smear me and my bike along the road while talking on a mobile, his excuse "my uncles just died"
so that makes it o.k. to drive like a cunt then? -

Nice back track there...
Hardly!! someone asked are you sure?...I say no....because how could I be sure, since I was not there?
...like everyone else who says "oh it couldn't be Hells Angels...they nice guys...they don't do things like that" -- well how SURE are they that it WASN'T HA????
Funny that posts number 38, 41 and 53 all corroberate my original post....
so nah to you!! -

^don't see the point of those posts. various people's vague preconceptions are not going to outweigh your friend's personal account.
and even if his re-telling has him making an annoyed shrug and he actually shouted "what are you doing you fucking idiots?", that would not justify a beating.
-

Personally, I wouldn't say "what the fuck are you doing?" to some Hells Angels, they have a bit of a reputation.
-
• #73
For being lovely blokes, apparently.

I'm off to the pub in a bit.
