This is happening folks. Things are moving along. We have the venue. We have council funding too, so we're going to try to keep the costs down for entrants. More info as soon as we can get it to you.

there will be 2 courts, so ideally we can be done late Saturday or early Sunday to give everyone ample travel time...

So you're hoping for a one day tourney? Make it two. I can imagine (hope) a lot of teams from across the UK will be up for this.

Totally dependant on number of teams (registration coming soon), but we're set up for a 2 day if thats how it plays out. Either way plan to play sat and sun, its a long trip for just one day of polo!

yes. dates are final. July 16th and 17th.

An estate car between 5 people would be £70-£80 (depending on model and fuel efficiency) each (all in). Not as cheap as I thought.

A commercial van (for one team and all bikes) and then compact MPVs (or similar) might be a better option (comfier), nothing's super cheap though.

Train's looking better and better.

I'm seriously considering Megabus. £5.50 – 9 hours from Victoria to Edinburgh. Might try and travel overnight but that's the extravagant fee of £14.

Uggggh, train is half that time and they won't get pissy about taking a bike.

One van, we all chip in for bikes + two drivers. Everyone else on megabus?

I hate busses.
